Insight Density
The episode contains a handful of actionable tips (WebP images, ADA compliance, blog author attribution, mobile load speed under 3 seconds) but they are buried under extended rambling, tangents about Twitter politics, and an admission the episode ran past a self-imposed 5-minute limit. The insight-to-filler ratio is very low for a 13-minute runtime.
you should have webp images, don't use pings or jpegs anymore
make sure that on your blogs that you have an author link to it. Make sure it's, you don't have team, don't have no author
Originality
The framing of AEO as a leveling opportunity for local businesses over franchises is mildly interesting, but every major claim is either unsourced opinion or standard digital-marketing advice recycled under a new acronym. The LLM rankings take ('ChatGPT kind of sucks now') is an unsubstantiated hot take, not original analysis.
the local person that bought whatever it is is going to show up better than you because they're a real person
I think Grok AI is going to come out on top
Guest Caliber
This is a solo monologue from the host, a local marketing consultant whose only cited credentials are a past Twitter following and a self-described AEO checker tool. There is no guest, no demonstrated at-scale practitioner experience, and no verifiable track record presented in the transcript.
I had 80000 followers on my account
I'm not totally booked up like I was last year
Specificity & Evidence
A few statistics are cited ('60% of all searches will be AI,' '60% of all searches do not result in a click') but none are sourced, and the projected outcomes ('60 to 70% of the business') appear to be made up on the spot. There are no named client case studies, real before/after data, or verifiable examples of any local business actually ranking via his methods.
I think by the end of the year, 60% of all searches will be AI
the people that get in front and start ranking on AEO are going to suck up at least 60 to 70% of the business
Conversational Craft
There is no guest and therefore no interviewing craft to evaluate. The monologue itself is structurally incoherent - the host repeatedly loses his train of thought, abandons his stated 5-minute goal, and ends by admitting he forgot a point he wanted to make. There is no argued structure, no challenge, and no resolution.
I'm not gonna make it under five minutes
there was one more point I was going to make, but this is rolling on a little bit longer than that

Speaker A: Welcome to the AI Advantage for Local Business. The show where local entrepreneurs and businesses learn to work less, earn more, and use AI to dominate their market. If you want higher profits, fewer headaches, and get more of your time back, you're in the right place. Here's your host, AI expert Andrew Anderson.
Speaker B: How humans can outrank AI in AI Search. So one of the fundamental things that AI looks for is authenticity. Okay, so I've got an AI clone that I used to use two or three years ago, but I quit using them because I guess what, people are already tired of them, okay? They want the ums and ahs and all of the stuff that's going on here in my somewhat messy office that I'm, uh, getting ready to clean up. And part of it is if you can authentically get your point across, if you can authentically prove that you actually know what in God's name you're doing and are competent, which as you know, is super duper rare these days. And anymore, I used to think that, like, you only want to deal with the top 20% of any given niche now. And then I bumped it up to 90%, then I bumped it up to 95% and then I said, what am I dorking around for? I only want the top 1% in out of a hundred, whatever it is, 100 mechanics, uh, 100 doctors, 100 roofers, 100 plumbers, 100 optometrists, uh, I only want the 1%. I don't want to deal with the other 20 people because that 1% going to dive in so deep, they're going to actually enjoy what they do, they're going to continue to learn, they're going to know things because they've done them a thousand times and they're always constantly improving. And you're going to get silly stuff like this. And this is, this is, uh, what is this? It seems like when I'm talking is blurring out. I won't blur my background next time, but we're already too deep into this to change that, right? So, um, that's it. And if you want to rank for aeo, or they call it Answer Engine Optimization, or I call it AI Engine Optimization, because everybody knows what SEO is. It's, it's a totally different game right now. And one of the things that, uh, the, that that's happening is that, um, I think by the end of the year, 60% of all searches will be AI and they're not going to give you a list of 10 or 20. They're going to give you one, maybe three. You need to be that person to do it. And if you want to find out what your chances are, we've got two really good AEO checkers. And just um, go to the first one. It's probably, it's, it's kind of a surface, uh, check on it, but it'll really give you some good things to get started. And yes, we do AEO for people, but what I'm our checker actually shows you enough information and it's free by the way, that you can figure out how to help rank in AI search. So when someone goes to ChatGPT and they say, I need a good plumber, that's near me. And one of the things that's different is that uh, if you have on your website, if you've got information about you, your qualifications, if you've got regular blog posts, if you can answer the common questions like let's go with the plumber. What's the easiest way to, to replace a leaky faucet? One that would be call a plumber. Two would be to see if there is a rubber gasket you can take it off. You have to turn off the water below it and give them the whole dang explanation so that you can actually prove to human beings and AI that you know what in God's name you're talking about. Because there's so many people out there, there's so much AI slop and it's going to get worse before it gets better that you're going to be able to stand out. And if you do this consistently, you will show up in AI Search your local area. So, and I'm talking about GMB people. If you've got a Google My business listing, um, then it can really, really help you want to make sure there's a. I'm going to give you a couple more tips. I don't want to make this too long. I'll try to make this under five minutes. So make sure you're on LinkedIn. God knows it's. I can't stand it, but I still do stuff on LinkedIn. Um, still do stuff on Twitter. Twitter is the underdog. If you're not. If you haven't been on Twitter since Must Take took it over, it's totally changed, it's 1,000% better. Uh, and if you say anything that's even a little bit controversial or just common sense, you won't get deleted, uh, during the, um, during the what we'll just call it the days when Twitter was, uh, ran by angst ridden 18 year olds in their mom's basement. If they didn't like something that you said, they would delete your whole account. I had 80000 followers on my account and just that's not the case anymore. So uh, Grok AI I think is going to come out on top. I think that I gotta quit moving my hands so my face doesn't disappear. Um, and I also think that Claude slash Gemini, since Google basically bought Claude, are going to be the top people, um, or the top LLMs. I think chat GPT is still used by a lot of the public, but it kind of sucks now. Uh, pretty hard, but it's still being used for search. And then you've got perplexity bringing up the rear and then uh, bing or whatever they're calling their, their thing, they're in disarray. Um, so you want to make sure you get on. I'll go back to this real quick. I'm not gonna make it under five minutes. So make sure you're, you have a business on X now make sure you have a business, uh, listing on LinkedIn. Make sure you have one on Facebook even if you don't like it. Uh, that's okay. And then also Instagram, you get those four and for a double triple bonus, make sure you have a YouTube channel and you post to it at least a couple times a week. Okay. And it doesn't have to be anything more than like this. I'm gonna put this up on YouTube and I'm also putting this in my uh, my podcast, which I haven't done since December. I promised myself I'd these every day because it take, doesn't take that much and it gives me practice talking again because I used to do. God, I did videos every day for years and then I just Forrest gumped it and quit, which was not a good thing. Trust me on that. Um, so those are my quick tips for ao. The other thing is you want to make sure that your site's super fast on mobile, um, and that it's accessible. So here's what's happened with AI. If you think of AI as a blind person or a visually impaired person and think, think that's the PC term these days. Um, then if they can't go through it with the screen reader, you're not probably not going to show up on AI. Or if you do right now, someone comes along that has faster mobile, uh, speed, it's got to be under three seconds to load. And if they are ADA compliant according to Google Lighthouse or You go to IQ site Speed and find out, I mean ADA compliant, you're going to have a much better chance of doing that now. There's a whole lot more to it. You should have webp images, don't use pings or jpegs anymore. Um, and if you do those things, you're going to have a good start at showing up on AI. And it's so, it's so flipping cool. This really gives the local people, not the big brand names, but local service providers, a huge advantage over franchise owners. Sorry to hear that, franchise owners. There's some things you can do, but the local person that bought whatever it is is going to show up better than you because they're a real person. And that comes back into eit, which is another acronym. It just basically do you know what the heck you're doing? Are you a real person? And um, so anyway, that's it for this episode. Andrew Anderson. Check us out. You could go do a search. I don't know if I ever said go to IQ marketers dot com. I just totally wrecked our homepage because I wanted to get our um, AEO checker ah on there. So that's one of them. And then the in depth one which might, unless you're technical, is probably going to make your eyes crossed is AEO website checker.com. right. Makes sense. AEO website checker.com they're both free and they will give you a big leg up without any BS on how you can rank your site and come up in the A.I. uh, searches. Okay. So anyway, hope you have a great day and a profitable one too. There's some much opportunity out there for local businesses now. Um, and uh, is it good if you have a budget? Yeah, but you could do it yourself. Whereas SEO got to the point where you could buy backlinks and do all kinds of other crazy crap. And um, uh, uh, got to a point where the more money you spent, if you could find a good SEO person, the higher you ranked and the little guys just didn't have a shot. Uh, whereas with AI you do. And there was one more point I was going to make, but this is rolling on a little bit longer than that. Uh, uh, yeah, you can't do that with AI. Right. I guess you could have them do funny noises. Um, but just uh, be real and you've got to document it. You've either got to do something like this. If you want to do a blog post, one of the easiest things you can do now is to just record yourself like this, talk Through a blog post, figure out if you need, if you need a piece of paper to like keep yourself organized, you know, say like these are the stump thing, um, organized, then just look down at it. You can do it then throw it into YouTube and they'll have a transcript of it. And you take that and you make your blog post out of it. The one of the things you want to do is make sure that on your blogs that you have an author link to it. Make sure it's, you don't have team, don't have no author. Um, you should have the date. It's uh, the blog post goes in there and the date it was updated. If you got older blog posts that have new information, go update those. It will really help you. And I'm going to say something controversial. If you have a WordPress website, you're going to be so far ahead of everybody else on being able to do this and that the last thing I'm going to say is when you get your act together with A E O or answer engine optimization or AI engine optimization, you're also going to greatly increase your SEO too. So anyway, and what's going to happen, it's going to happen this year the people that get in front and start ranking on AEO are going to suck up at least 60 to 70% of the business for AI search because right now on Google itself 60% of all searches do not result in a click. So. Anywhood Andrew Anderson signing off for IQ Marketers and AEO website Checker. We'll talk to you soon to get any questions suggested. I'd love to hear from you. We got a contact form on both of those websites, AOW websitechecker.com and IQ marketers.com as in or kind of smart. And I'd love to hear from you and uh, get your opinion on this stuff and if you need any help. Ah, I think I've got a couple of um, I usually have a couple appointments available because I want to like test the pulse. You can set up a 15 minute phone call with me and I can uh, maybe help you out or not. But uh, and again that one's free for now because I'm not totally booked up like I was last year. Uh, just because I didn't. I wiped out my schedule for doing calls so that, that'll do it. Just don't take any calls for six months and people will quit bugging you. That's it. Thank you. Have a great day and get in front of an aeo. You, you can rock you can rock out your local business, especially if you have a, uh, Google my business listing. It's really the opportunity of a lifetime, and it's going to happen so quick, it's not even funny. We'll talk to you soon. I got to find the stop button on this puppy and we'll call this one a wrap. See ya.
