Foreign. Hello and welcome to the final episode of Brave ux. Yep, you heard me right. I've decided to wrap up the podcast. Brave UX began back in October of 2020 as a bit of a pandemic project, a way to soothe some professional and intellectual loneliness during what was for many of us a strange, isolating time. Five years later, it's become something much more. Across 171 episodes, more than 200 hours of long form interviews, it's been my pleasure to bring you the perspectives of a diverse range of emerging and established world class design, research and product leaders. My hope is that Brave UX has been entertaining, educational and useful to you. I know it's helped me to grow as a host, as a researcher and as a person through the process of researching, curating and reflecting on these conversations. Along the way, I've had the privilege of developing a number of meaningful friendships with past guests. I've also been fortunate to be invited to share my perspective on design, including keynote talks at Rosenfeld Media's Design at Scale conference and Design Ops Summit and a main stage appearance at Design Outlook in Australia. And in a particularly special moment, one of my earliest guests and someone who I greatly respect, Steve Portugal, kindly asked me to contribute a blurb to the second edition of Interviewing Users, which was both surreal and humbling. There have been moments across the show's run that have been tense, emotional and lighthearted, and all of them have helped me better appreciate the complex, beautiful and sometimes challenging task of understanding and being understood. My thanks to Dave Terry and the team at Apodcast Geek, who edited the vast majority of the show's episodes. Their work behind the scenes made everything you heard sound effortless, even when it wasn't. This hasn't been an easy decision. Brave UX has been a substantial part of my life for five years, but it feels like the right time to close this chapter and make space for what's next. To every guest who gave their time and trusted me with their stories, thank you. And to you. Thank you for listening. Whether you tuned in regularly or just dipped in once or twice, I've appreciated your time, support and your interest in the craft and community we share. The archive will still be available both on your preferred podcast platform and on YouTube. You can also find the full catalogue of episodes at my website, which is the spaceinbetween Co nz. And while Brave UX is ending, I'm not disappearing. You'll still Find me on LinkedIn sharing my thoughts and perhaps whatever comes next. So for one last time thank you for being here. Goodbye for now and keep being brave.
