The Franchise Academy Podcast ranks #4275 on The B2B Podcast Index with a substance score of 54.0 out of 100, scored across 1 recent episode. It scores highest on guest caliber and specificity & evidence. Jordan Levine is a genuine 25-year franchise operator and COO who has held senior roles across Coldstone, Massage Envy, and Sola Salons - a real practitioner with relevant cross-brand experience. The conversation, however, does not extract the depth his background should allow.
Averaged across 1 recently scored episode, with cited evidence.
A handful of real operational points (membership model vs. transactional, in-house certification expanding the labor pool) are buried under extended personal anecdotes, generic franchise enthusiasm, and throat-clearing. A smart operator would extract maybe two non-obvious ideas from the whole episode.
“the recurring revenue model. We're a membership based model. And to me membership is magic.”
“Because we do the certification and it's a nationally recognized certification program, we can attract really anybody.”
The episode recycles well-worn franchise tropes - 'work on the business not in it,' 'be the mayor of your community,' 'franchising is right in the middle' - without interrogating or extending them. No contrarian or first-principles thinking appears.
“You're not really driving traffic. You're not being part of the fabric of your community.”
“Franchising is right in the middle. You still get to wear the entrepreneur hat.”

“I went from working in a store to being the first company intern that the company ever had to being an area developer for the state of Massachusetts”
“We have yet to have a, ah, a single store failure. And that is probably the most unique thing I can say about Stretch Zone.”
A few concrete data points appear - ~386 units open, roughly one opening per week, zero store failures, Fort Lauderdale HQ, Cold Stone opened February 4th in Massachusetts - but there are no franchisee economics, no AUV figures, no investment ranges, and the 'zero failures' claim goes completely un-substantiated and unchallenged.
“We're just south of 400, I think. We opened 386 today or, uh, this week.”
“we continue to open about one a week”
The host is a franchise broker with a transparent commercial interest in the brand, and the interview functions as a sales infomercial. He explicitly labels a question a 'softball,' lets the extraordinary 'zero store failures' claim pass without scrutiny, and never challenges a single assertion.
“I want to throw you kind of a softball, if you will.”
“I love what you guys are doing. You and I love that you have like almost 400 stores already.”
