What our scoring noted

Our reviewer’s read on each dimension, with quotes from the episode.

Insight Density

4 / 20

The episode offers three steps - self-awareness, know your why, take consistent action - that are among the most recycled pieces of entrepreneurship advice in existence. A significant portion of the runtime is a promotional pitch for a free workshop, further diluting substantive content.

Consistent action. Consistent action. Friends. Step number three, to keep doing what is really important and focus on growing your business is taking consistent action. I cannot stress this, um, enough.
The missing puzzle between someone who stays a dreamer and someone who makes their dreams come true is just one thing. Consistent action.

Originality

3 / 20

Every concept presented - procrastination as a coping mechanism, positive self-talk, visualising your 'why' in HD detail, getting back on the wagon - is well-worn self-help boilerplate with no contrarian angle or first-principles reasoning anywhere in the episode.

What is your why? Why are you plunging into self employment? Why are you doing this? What's your dream? Think about your future in great detail, in hd, so to speak, in high definition.
So it's important to acknowledge and accept that these characteristics make you who you are, but that you do not have to stick with them.

Guest Caliber

3 / 20

This is a solo episode with no guest; the host presents herself as a coach for corporate-to-entrepreneur transitions but provides no verified track record of building a business at scale, and the only credential offered is vague personal experience.

My own experience helped me to come up with a framework for busy executives to set up their business in the right way.
Okay, uh, guys, let me start with a truth pill here. I really remember how it was when I started out and started to focus on all kinds of things

Specificity & Evidence

3 / 20

The episode is almost entirely abstract; the only 'examples' are hypothetical archetypes (fitness trainer, accounting executive, football star) with no named companies, real metrics, timelines, or dollar figures to anchor any claim.

If I want to be the known in the fitness, um, market, let's say I want to be a fitness trainer and I want to be known in that market, Is it going to move the needle if I'm going to put up a website?
for example, if you are a, uh, senior executive in accounting for, for you, the bookkeeping and that part of the financial part of your business might be really easy

Conversational Craft

3 / 20

This is an uninterrupted solo monologue with no guest, no interviewing technique, no follow-up questions, and no productive tension; the only structure is a simple numbered-list format delivered in a motivational-speaker style.

And then the third step is something that is underestimated a lot. You know, what is the difference between someone who has great ideas and dreams and someone who really, um, becomes a successful entrepreneur?
So my friends, if you are committed to growing your business and um, find that you're struggling to really focus on the right things, I want to invite you to my completely free workshop on November 22.

And then you, you get mad at yourself for not focusing on the right things. If that is you, my friend, do not feel ashamed about it or embarrassed about it because we all have been there. Um, I certainly have been there where I felt like there is this self sabotage happening or procrastination or even perfection that is keeping me from doing the right things or focusing on the right stuff. Stuff. And today we are going to look at how to overcome all these thoughts and how to focus on the right things and take consistent action that truly grows your business. Hey friends. Welcome to Moonshot Entrepreneur. This is the place where we partner with God to build his custom design calling for our life. Along with that, you will also learn to create the time and income for the amazing dreams God has for you. Sounds like a Moonshot. Well, set your expectations high because when we dare to partner with God, anything is possible. I promise you that we are going to have a ton of fun on this journey together. So grab your notebook and pen and pursue with me your God led life transformation. Let's go. Okay, uh, guys, let me start with a truth pill here. I really remember how it was when I started out and started to focus on all kinds of things, um, like getting the website up and running and doing this and that and thinking about my offer. And many of the things I did were certainly the right steps. Steps. But I also have to admit that most of the days I was also just focusing on the stuff that made me feel comfortable, that made me feel less overwhelmed. And I knew at the back of my mind there are other steps I need to take to really grow my business. Like, for example, market research. Because without, um, market research or real market feedback, how do I know how to, how to change my product or adapt my product to what the market wants? And if I'm not doing that, how will I ever find the right customers? Right? But I stuck with the, uh, easy stuff, so to speak. Well, easy for me. And I'm sure that there are parts of your business that seem easy to you. For example, if you are a, uh, senior executive in accounting for, for you, the bookkeeping and that part of the financial part of your business might be really easy and you might feel really comfortable doing that. If you are um, really great people manager, you might be fully invested in finding the right people to work in your company and totally neglecting the financial part of your business just because you feel overwhelmed. So there is a real problem here because we cannot stay that specialized if we are starting out with our own business. And so I can truly relate to you if you're feeling overwhelmed at times. I think the most important thing to understand is that it's normal to be overwhelmed. And there are three steps that you can take to really overcome this feeling of self sabotage, um, procrastination or even avoidance or perfection. The first step you need to take is, um, develop some self awareness. Develop self awareness in the sense that what is keeping you from doing the things that you know that you should be doing, but that you are choosing to neglect or choosing not to deal with at the moment? As you might know, procrastination is just a symptom. It's a coping mechanism that tells you that the thing that you are avoiding seems new, it seems hard to do. You have not learned it, you have no skills for it. This is the self talk you're giving yourself. At least, um, subconsciously, consciously, you know that you don't have what it takes to do that part. But what you are letting out of the picture is that you are a human being who has learned hard stuff. You are someone who has gone through school, who has had a successful career and chances are that you didn't just fall out of heaven as an executive in accounting or marketing or a ah, people leader. Right. So the first step here is to really build some self awareness and to understand that procrastination is normal and that it's a uh, coping mechanism or avoidance is normal and it's a coping mechanism. Another thing that can also trip us up other than procrastination and avoidance is perfection. If we are wired to be perfectionists, um, we want everything to be in place and to know how things work. Especially if we are in corporate or coming from corporate. We have gotten used to a certain kind of standard of doing things. You don't haphazardly go and start a business or go and launch a pro, uh, product and that is good. But at the same time, if you want things to be perfect before you take the first step, you are going to fail. Especially if you are still running a one man or a one woman show as an entrepreneur. So it's important to acknowledge and accept that these characteristics make you who you are, but that you do not have to stick with them. You have to consciously, consciously harder there. Consciously, um, intentionally would be a better word. You have to intentionally work, um, towards overcoming these obstacles or these character traits and give yourself permission to go into a new learning phase where you learn new skills so that you are able to grow your business. So that is the first step you need to take. Then the second step you need to take is this. When you are acquiring new skills, when you are trying to, um, get new skills in order to grow your business, it's going to be hard. It's going to take a lot of effort from you. And there might be days where you are successful, there might be days where you feel like you haven't made any progress and things get messy and hard. And uh, in those days, it's really vital to remember why you're doing it. Because the why is the thing that's going to give you, um, the energy and the power and the strength to go through the discipline that it takes to learn new things. So what is your why? Why are you plunging into self employment? Why are you doing this? What's your dream? Think about your future in great detail, in hd, so to speak, in high definition. What is different in the way you're working? How does that make you feel and what are you able to do? Who are you working with? Um, what are the values that you are going to instill in the world or in the company you are creating? How are you going to show up differently at your home, with your spouse, with your friends, for your health? You have to think about these things in great detail and even I would recommend you to write it down so that when the hard days come, you have the m extra motivation to push through it. Because the price that you are getting from doing this is much more important and more big than the pain you are taking to learn new things. So this is really, um, the crucial step number two. And then the third step is something that is underestimated a lot. You know, what is the difference between someone who has great ideas and dreams and someone who really, um, becomes a successful entrepreneur? It's not the idea that is missing, it's not the passion that is missing. The missing puzzle between someone who stays a dreamer and someone who makes their dreams come true is just one thing. Consistent action. Consistent action. Friends. Step number three, to keep doing what is really important and focus on growing your business is taking consistent action. I cannot stress this, um, enough. We really have to take action and the action has to be consistent. And when you think about it, it's just common sense. If you want to, um, I don't know, be a great football star. How do you play in the NFL? It's not by just kicking the football down the field once or twice a week or by dreaming about it and watching an NFL game on tv. Yes, all this can be part of your dream. But you will have to take consistent action. You'll have to attend trainings, you have to sleep right, you have to eat right, you have to move, meet the right people, go to the tryouts, go to the um, right coaches, speak to them, and so on and so forth. Without consistent action, you do not reach that point of growing your business or growing your skills, whatever they might be. So you have to take consistent action. And the key here is to switch to positive self talk. It's normal to fall off the wagon. You cannot, um, always do things right. But when it, when push comes to shove, what is going to make the difference is did you get back up and did you try again the next day? So even if you fall down from the wagon, you need to get back up and take the next step. It's the next step. The next right step. It's the next right step that counts. Um, I think it was a musician who once said, there is no such thing as a bad note. If you hit a note, um, it's the next note that is going to define whether it sounds good or sounds bad. So what is the next right step you can take? Another part of taking consistent action is to know what action truly moves your needle. You have goals like growing your business or wanting to be, um, known in a certain field or in a certain market. And if that is your goal, you have to think about what actions are going to achieve that goal the most. Which ones are going to move the needle most? If I want to be the known in the fitness, um, market, let's say I want to be a fitness trainer and I want to be known in that market, Is it going to move the needle if I'm going to put up a website? Or is it going to move the needle even more if I'm going to make a flyer and hang it up somewhere in the neighborhood, at the gym where people go to very frequently and um, get a chance to see it? You have to commit to think about your business, to think about it regularly, and you have to commit to looking at what moves the needle. And you have to do it on a consistent basis. You have to do it regularly, once a week. You have to look at what is going to move the needle this week for my business. And once you know that, you have to take the consistent action that that goes with moving the needle. And if you do that, you will certainly grow your business. So my friends, if you are committed to growing your business and um, find that you're struggling to really focus on the right things, I want to invite you to my completely free workshop on November 22. It is online and you can come along and I will give you an entire framework on how to work on your business While still working in corporate. My own experience helped me to come up with a framework for busy executives to set up their business in the right way. So in this session, in this online workshop in 60 minutes, I will teach you to come up with your entrepreneurship game plan. How you are going to find time, energy, and the financial margin to build the business you want to build with the idea, uh, you have. And I will also teach you how you can turn your corporate skills into a business. As I mentioned before, most of us have very specialized skills if we are working in corporate because we are used, um, to having many colleagues and co workers and there are whole business units specialized on certain parts of our business so that we are not trained anymore to do all the parts of business. And if you are an entrepreneur just starting out, chances are that you have to learn how you can do that. And at the same time, you want to use the unique skills you have built, the specialization you have built to be a, uh, vital part of your business that makes it unique and gives so much value to the market that people just run to you to get that service or product from you. So I will teach you how you can, um, turn your corporate skill into a business. Um, I'll also teach you how you can test your idea while keeping your 9 to 5 and while still, um, not breaking the bank. Because to test an idea, you, you need to know what exactly you need to test about the idea and how to do that with the lowest cost possible. And finally, I will also help you to build a clear step by step action plan so that you can work consistently on your business and take consistent action that is actually going to move the needle in your business. Because your dream of becoming an entrepreneur is not a moonshot. It's not supposed to be a moonshot, but you have to be organized and you have to know how to go about this. So that this dream can truly become true as soon as possible.
