Rob Dyrdek uses this final Build with Rob episode to mark the conclusion of the show while introducing what comes next. Over 120+ episodes, the podcast evolved from business-focused discussions about his portfolio companies into a philosophy-driven platform where Dyrdek worked through ideas he's now consolidating into a cohesive system - one intended to fuel future software and content creation. Rather than ending, Dyrdek is repositioning: he'll release highlight packages and clips while preparing a relaunch in a few months with clearer, more tactical content. The bulk of the episode focuses on Dyrdek's five-step manifesting framework. He emphasizes that manifestation isn't lottery-like wish-thinking but a disciplined practice combining clarity, meditation, milestone-setting, deep visualization (engaging all senses), and strategic action. He illustrates with concrete examples: visualizing his forever office in 2026, which led to connecting with a real estate agent who helped him acquire a building; and mentally rehearsing himself introducing Season 30 of Ridiculousness rather than just Season 13, which shifted his negotiating posture and resulted in a record 186-episode order. The episode will resonate with entrepreneurs, business owners, and those interested in practical philosophy and manifestation techniques.

Key takeaways

  • →Manifestation requires a clear, detailed vision backed by understanding of achievable strategy - not wishful thinking - combined with consistent meditation to lock yourself into the desired future.
  • →Meditate daily on your desired outcome with full sensory engagement: feel the emotions, hear the sounds, and smell the environment until your mind and body believe the vision is real.
  • →Define specific milestones with exact timelines in your vision board rather than vague aspirations, then let the universe surface tools and people who help you achieve them.
  • →Shift your mental reference point from the immediate next step to a much larger future outcome, which changes your decision-making and negotiating posture in ways that attract bigger opportunities.
  • →Take deliberate action aligned with your vision; manifesting combined with strategic effort (like negotiating unit economics rather than talent fees) produces exponentially larger results.

Questions this episode answers

What are the five steps to manifesting according to Rob Dyrdek?

The five steps are: (1) clarify your vision with strategic understanding, (2) meditate daily on your desired future, (3) define specific milestones with timelines, (4) visualize the outcome with all senses engaged, and (5) take aligned action toward your goal.

How does Rob Dyrdek use meditation in his manifesting practice?

He sits in a meditation pod listening to guided manifestation meditations where he projects himself into future scenarios, experiencing them with full sensory detail - seeing himself in conversations, feeling emotions, hearing sounds - rather than thinking about them one-dimensionally.

What example does Rob give of manifesting his forever office?

He identified in 2026 as the target year for his forever office through his vision board and meditated on being on the roof deck discussing portfolio company events. Without winning a lottery, he was connected to a seasoned real estate agent who helped him navigate and eventually acquire the building.

How did shifting his mental target from Season 13 to Season 30 of Ridiculousness change Rob's outcome?

By visualizing himself introducing Season 30 instead of just Season 13, he changed his negotiating posture from thinking about talent and producing fees to discussing unit economics with the network head, resulting in a record 186-episode order - the largest in cable television history.

Why is Build with Rob ending?

Rob is ending the podcast to consolidate the philosophy he's developed over 123 episodes into a more unified, clear, and tactical system, which will relaunch in a few months alongside new software and content that embodies the philosophy more completely.

What our scoring noted

Our reviewer’s read on each dimension, with quotes from the episode.

Insight Density

3 / 20

The vast majority of the episode is a formulaic five-step manifestation framework drawn almost verbatim from self-help orthodoxy, with platitudes about meditating and visualising smells. There is a single genuinely substantive moment at the very end about negotiating TV unit economics, but it arrives in fragments and is never unpacked.

manifestation is not a lottery ticket
you are pulling yourself towards the reality that you wanted to create in the future

Originality

2 / 20

Rob explicitly credits The Secret as the source of the framework and the episode is essentially a retelling of it with personal anecdotes grafted on. There is no contrarian, first-principles, or counterintuitive argument for a B2B operator anywhere in the episode.

my wife suggested like why don't we just watch the secret you know and I kind of remember the secret and then the first 15 minutes it just shifted my being
you are locked into the quantum field and you are pulling yourself towards the reality that you wanted to create

Guest Caliber

7 / 20

Rob Dyrdek has genuine operator credentials - he owns production, negotiated a landmark cable order, and runs a portfolio - but this episode barely surfaces any of that; the format forces him into a self-help guru role rather than a practitioner sharing hard-won business knowledge.

I own the production now I was able to negotiate directly with the head of the network on the unit economics of the show
we have the biggest order in the history of cable television

Specificity & Evidence

5 / 20

A handful of concrete data points exist - season numbers, a 186-episode order, an EBITDA mention, a 2018 inflection point - but they are scattered and underdeveloped, surrounded by pages of vague motivational language with no verifiable claims.

I was in season 12 I decided I wasn't going to manifest season 13 I kept manifesting walking on the stage introducing season 30
that 186 order took it straight to market. Now I took it to market. Here's the three years in EBITDA.

Conversational Craft

2 / 20

This is an uninterrupted solo monologue with no host, no interviewer, no follow-up questions, and no pushback whatsoever; the five-step structure is self-directed and no claim is ever challenged or deepened by an external voice.

Hey, everybody, something special here today, the five steps to manifesting anything you want in this life.
Step two, meditate. It's undeniable what the consistency of meditating and ultimately practicing manifestation can really help you

Episode notes

You have the power to manifest anything you want in this life. In this very special episode, Rob explores the art of manifestation through clarity, and explains how you can practice it in just 5 steps. The clearer your vision of your desired future, the more likely you are to manifest it through your actions. Manifestation isn't just wishing and hoping for an outcome you want to come true - it's a skill developed over time. You must create a vivid mental image of your desired future, immerse yourself in it, and trick your mind and body into believing it's real. Rob, a living testament to manifestation, emphasizes that it's about feeling, sensing, and deeply believing in its inevitability. It's when your mind and body cannot tell the difference between that which you imagine in great detail and that which is actually happening. So, the more you practice detailed manifestation over and over, while taking action to achieve them, the universe will begin to listen.

Welcome to Build with Rob. It is your boy, Rob Dyrdek. And that is the final time that I will welcome you to Build with Rob. I just want to let everybody know that is the end of Build with Rob, an end of an era, if you will.

Started first as a business podcast about my portfolio companies, transitioned to a little bit of philosophy, then entrepreneur advice, and then full philosophy. And really over the last 120 plus episodes, I've been really using Build with Rob to really work out different aspects of the philosophy that I want to unify into one single idea that leads to the software and ultimately all the content that I'll create in the future. That really is my goal with all the content as it relates to the philosophy and its potential and the way that I want to create it moving forward.

So this will in fact be the end of Build with Rob, but not the end of the content that I'm going to create. We're going to relaunch everything together in a few months from now and an entirely more unified story around a more clear version of the philosophy that I've been sharing with you guys over the last couple years. So in the meantime, I'm going to keep dropping little bits of content, putting together different highlight packages from different shows and different clips that I've created over the last couple of years.

And I just want to thank all of you for being a part of this journey for the last 123 episodes from the very beginning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for tuning in and listening. And I promise you what I'm working on is going to be a lot more clear, a lot more tactical and really be the beginning of what I think will be the core of what I'm known for, for many years to come and the philosophy that I want to truly leave behind and give to everybody in a more organized way so that everybody can take it and really create a harmonious, meaningful, amazing life of their own in a continuous, continuous way.

So again, I thank all of you and stay tuned for an exciting new chapter, the unification of the philosophy, the machine, and the future software where you can live the philosophy out in your own way And you know what it is It just me bringing that vision alive putting that strategy and that plan together and giving it all I got to make it real Until next time see it believe it do it. Hey, everybody, something special here today, the five steps to manifesting anything you want in this life.

Make sure you go through all five steps because each one is essential. And remember, when you start, you got to have a clear, clear vision. Step one, clarify your vision. Do you want to manifest?

Of course you want to manifest. Everybody wants to manifest. When they hear the word manifest, they're like, man, I want to manifest. I want to manifest a million dollars.

I want to manifest a beautiful wife. I want to manifest a gold turkey for some of you more strange people out there. Now, manifestation is not a lottery ticket. The more you understand, the clearer you are on what you want the future to look like, the more likely you will ever be in manifesting that future.

It all starts with just an idea in your mind. And you can take as much time as you need to get as clear as you can possibly get to where there's a switch in you that says this is absolutely achievable through the strategy and the plan that you've created and then set off on that journey and work incredibly hard while continuously envisioning it actually happening is how you are truly locked into the quantum field and you are pulling yourself towards the reality that you wanted to create in the future.

Step two, meditate. It's undeniable what the consistency of meditating and ultimately practicing manifestation can really help you be driven and drawn to the stuff that you hope to achieve. I get in my meditation pod and I listen to a guided meditation about manifesting And I literally spend that time just projecting myself into the future about the things that I want to see happen in the future. And then I experience them.

I don't just think about them one dimensionally, man. Like I feel them. Like I am inside that meditation like sitting in the kitchen talking to my older children in the house that I want to build It me like going through the process of having like one of our biggest exits It all starts with just an idea in your mind that you wanted to create in the future. I wanted to just read this to you just to give you a sense of what I listen to every single day.

The ending of the meditation goes like this. Abundance and prosperity are mental conditions that you create on the plane of mind With complete trust and confidence that they will manifest in your life You refuse to accept undesirable circumstances having final reality For the mighty truth at the center of your consciousness Where peace always reigns and all things are possible You know that life is a journey that must be traveled step by step. You are patient. You are trusting for you have unshakable faith in your destination, which always leads you closer to your true home of infinite love in abundance.

Step three, define your milestones. I always believed that you could kind of manifest and create your own reality, but I didn't really put it into practice, if you will. When I make a vision board, I don't make a vague vision board. I identify every single thing that I want and I make it in detail.

I decided, okay, I want to eventually have a forever office. This is the office that I want to mirror my forever estate's home that I'm building. And even in my sort of life vision, I looked at this happening in 2026. But I would meditate and see myself out on the roof deck talking through like events and different experiences with our portfolio companies.

All I did was begin to think about it and put it in the universe. And then then what happens? Like I didn't win the lottery and I didn't get a call from somebody that said, hey, do you want this building down here for a dollar? were given the building away, I got a tool, right?

It was now a seasoned real estate agent that could actually help navigate this better understanding and learning of the potential of having this building was popped right into my life. Step four, visualize your desired outcome. You can manifest absolutely anything that you want in this life but you got to deeply deeply imagine it and not just imagine it from the outside looking in You have to imagine you are there You have to feel the feeling of where you are Smell the smells.

Listen to the sounds. You have got to trick your mind and body into believing it is real. When your body does not know the difference between the realness in your mind and the realness of your reality. And the more that you can put into feeling it, the stronger of a flag you're going to plant in the universe that's going to conspire to pull you towards whatever it is you hope to manifest.

Step five, take action. It wasn't till 2018. I was in a bit of a, you know, like a bit of a pit of chaos. and my wife suggested like why don't we just watch the secret you know and I kind of remember the secret and then the first 15 minutes it just shifted my being like stop it look at who you are what you've done and look at like the good that has constantly found its way to you don't lose sight of that and I began to practice belief so instead of thinking in 2018 when they were talking about ending ridiculousness and I was in season 12 I decided I wasn't going to manifest season 13 I kept manifesting walking on the stage introducing season 30 holy cow so you weren't thinking about the next season you're thinking about 20 seasons away the seas began to part right because what happened is because I own the production now I was able to negotiate directly with the head of the network on the unit economics of the show rather than talent and producing fees and so we got to a place where we decided from a business perspective what was best for the network and the ever-changing landscape of linear cable it's a nuance now right so i negotiated with him on the unit economics where most celebrities and producers are still it's fees it went from thinking I'm going to have to regroup televisions over here.

And instead, that 186 order took it straight to market. Now I took it to market. Here's the three years in EBITDA. And we have the biggest order in the history of cable television.
