Episode notes

On episode 75 of The Safety Gambit podcast, Lindsay is joined by Dr. Valerie Rein, author of Patriarchy Stress Disorder , to explore the patriarchy and its oppressive impact on the safety of women. In this episode, we cover: How good can it really get for you? Intergenerational oppression of the patriarchy. Why, as Dr. Valerie says, "women don't really know what safety feels like." How safety connects to the nervous system and state of relaxation. And so much more. Dr. Valerie Rein is a psychologist who has coined Patriarchy Stress Disorder® (PSD) and helps women achieve their ultimate success, happiness, and fulfillment by healing generational, collective imprints of oppression. She holds an EdM in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Dr. Valerie's unique methodology for guiding women's journeys of "how good can it get?" is grounded in her doctoral research on transformation.
