Five dimensions, 20 points each
Visibility for service-based entrepreneurs isn't about follower counts - it's about being seen by the right people who become paying clients. Jocelyn Heng unpacks the mindset work required for introverts to overcome limiting beliefs like perfectionism, fear of judgment, and impostor syndrome, then pivots to actionable strategy: choosing 1-2 primary platforms, batching content to maintain consistency, and mixing content types that encourage shares and saves. She emphasizes that reels and TikTok are particularly effective for discoverability due to short-form video engagement and algorithm prioritization. The conversation ties visibility directly to business outcomes - without a visibility plan aligned to your offers and sales goals, increased visibility yields no revenue. Jocelyn's coaching program, Stand Out To Sell Out, focuses on helping introverts embrace their superpower, release mental blocks, and strategize launches to convert visibility into client sign-ups.
Visibility means being seen by your ideal clients so you can convert them into paying customers, not just accumulating followers. If your audience isn't your ideal clients, a large following generates no business revenue.
Introverts struggle with feeling not good enough, fear of judgment and criticism, overthinking, and perfectionism. Shifting focus from themselves to serving their audience and embracing vulnerability helps overcome these blocks.
Content batching - filming or creating multiple posts in one session and scheduling them out - allows you to maintain visibility without finding time daily.
Yes, repurposing content is effective, but remove the TikTok watermark before reposting to Reels.
Content that makes people want to share or save - something unique, goes against the status quo, and provides value. Short-form video formats like Reels and TikTok are prioritized by algorithms and maintain viewer engagement.
Our reviewer’s read on each dimension, with quotes from the episode.
Nearly every claim is a well-worn social media coaching platitude - batch content, pick 1-2 platforms, show vulnerability, focus on ideal clients. There is no novel framework, counterintuitive finding, or substantive mechanism that a B2B operator wouldn't have already absorbed from any generic marketing blog.
just by showing up consistently, it will change the game for you
set your 90 day goals and look at your offers
The episode recycles the standard online-coaching playbook - vanity metrics vs. real clients, authenticity, vulnerability, knowing your superpower - without adding any first-principles reasoning, data, or contrarian angle. Nothing here challenges or extends existing thinking.
being your true, authentic self and showing your vulnerability can be terrifying
ditch perfectionism
Jocelyn Heng self-describes as a visibility and business coach for introverts with a three-month one-on-one programme; no evidence of operating at scale, no named client results, no prior senior operator experience is mentioned. This is a career-coach guest with no demonstrated practitioner track record.
I am a visibility coach and also a business coach
I guess by the time this episode is out, I am, um, launching a one on one coaching program called Stand out To sell out is a three month, um, one on one coaching program
The entire episode is abstract generality with almost zero named examples, metrics, client results, or dollar figures. The only semi-concrete detail is 'post reels every week' and 'strip the watermark when reposting TikTok to Reels,' which are execution trivia rather than evidence.
it has to be something that's not usual or it's something that go against the status quo or something that's unique, something that can go viral
I am doubling down on my reels because it's a part of my strategy
The host consistently asks soft, open-ended questions ('do you have any tips?', 'do you have any last tip?'), then re-summarises the guest's answer back to them as affirmation. There is no follow-up pressure, no numbers probed, no claims challenged, and the episode ends with overt promotion of the guest's programme.

Speaker C: Welcome back everyone, to the Fearlessly Authentic CEO Podcast. And for this episode we have another special guest and we will be talking about a very interesting topic nowadays, which is about increasing our visibility, specifically for introverts. And just to introduce our guest speaker for this episode, we have Jocelyn Heng, uh, visibility coach for introverts. And I will let her also to introduce herself later on for you. But Jocelyn, you could say hi and you can also tell more about yourself.
Speaker A: Hi, everyone, my name is Jocelyn. Um, thanks for tuning in. I am a visibility coach and also a business coach. Um, and my work is to help introverts to be more visible online, to stand um out, and to attract so many clients so that they can build a profitable and sustainable business while being themselves.
Speaker C: Yeah, thank you, Jocelyn, and thank you again for accepting my invitation to be in this podcast. So maybe we can start the conversation with telling us what does visibility mean to you?
Speaker A: Sure. Um, I feel like a lot of people, when they think about visibility, they think about growing their following. So, like, the number of followers. But to me, visibility is not about growing the number of followers just for the sake of having, like a nice big number on your social media. And visibility means really is to get visible and get in front of your ideal clients so that you're able to connect with them, provide value to them, and ultimately turn them into paying clients. And if your focus is only on vanity metrics and you don't make money as a business, there's really no point to get visible. Right? So, yeah, so you need to make sure that, um, the people who are following you are actually your ideal clients. Even if you have a big following, but no one is the ideal client and they are just some random people or people who follow you for no reasons or other reasons, then you're not doing it right. So for me, in short, visibility just means being seen by your ideal clients so that you can bring them into your world and guide them through, um, your sales funnel.
Speaker C: Yeah. Thank you so Much Jocelyn, for sharing that. Um, and I just want to highlight what you have mentioned. So visibility is not just being, you know, famous, for example in Reels or TikTok, it's also about being visible in front, um, of your ideal client or audience. So we want to be more strategic here when we define visibility specifically for entrepreneurs online. Because as you've mentioned, a lot of people also are looking into improving the vanity metrics like the comments likes, um, reach, but they tend to forget about the end goal which is to convert their audience and this visibility. Increasing your visibility in a strategic way as uh, what you mentioned will be very helpful for us, uh, entrepreneurs to make that goal happen, right?
Speaker A: Yes, definitely.
Speaker C: Yeah. And uh, when it comes to visibility, what do you think will be or should be the mindset shift that we need to embody in order for us to improve our visibility before we go into the strategy part? Sure.
Speaker A: I think it's so important to talk about the mindset because without having or embracing your visibility mindset, it would be really difficult for you to be visible strategically. So mindset is definitely the first step. First of all, just know that, um, know that visibility is not something that's good to have for businesses, but it's already becoming an essential. Right. Especially if you want, if you want to start an online business. So if you want your business to survive in the online world, you need to be visible, especially for service based businesses because you are the face of your business. So you need to show up and connect with your IU clients. And I know for a lot of people it can be really scary to show up, especially when you're not used to putting yourself out there. Um, the fears will always be there for sure, but you worry about how people think about you or the negative consequence you might face when you start to show up. And I really get that. Right. But know that it's not as scary as you think after you have taken the first step. And secondly, know that everybody starts somewhere, even like the successful online entrepreneur that you admire the most. They start from zero to so and they made it right. So if you want to be successful like them, you need to do what most people are just too afraid to do.
Speaker C: Yes, totally agree with that. But I'm also curious, what is the common or the most common limiting beliefs for introverts specifically when it comes to increasing their visibility or being visible in front of the camera or the stories or video?
Speaker A: Definitely about not feeling like they're not good enough. Right. Because this is actually not just for introverts, but for most people, the feeling of I'm not good enough is always what stops them from taking the action. Right. And then there is fears of judgment and criticism from people. And, um, introverts tend to get in your head a lot, and they tend to overthink a lot before they take action. So it is one of the most common struggles introvert has, um, when it comes to showing up. So the mindset shift really is to make it, um, not make it about you, I would say. Right. The focus should be on the people that you want to serve and you want to help, even if it's just that one person that can benefit from your knowledge, from expertise, that's good enough. And you need to put your ego aside and put your focus on your ideal clients. And another mindset shift, I would say, is to ditch perfectionism. Because most people will try to be perfect when they show up, but when you can show your audience your imperfections and the human side of you, um, like you would make mistakes like everybody else. Right. They will be able to connect with you better. And being your true, authentic self and showing your vulnerability can be terrifying, um, especially for introverts. But know that it's actually very attractive to be willing to open up and to show your vulnerability.
Speaker C: Yeah, I totally agree with that. And, uh, I think it also boils down to being authentic.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Sometimes we are afraid to show up because, again, from what you've mentioned, people are afraid of being criticized or being judged and they think that they are not enough. And we tend to compare ourselves with other people and we tend to forget our unique personality, our superpowers, our own gifts. So one thing that I have gotten from you here is that we just need to be ourselves and be authentic and don't, um, be afraid to show up who really are, who we really are, and not just, you know, show up for the sake of showing up. But the mindset shift that you've mentioned is all about how we can serve our client. Even if there's only one person watching your stories, it's like, it's an impact already.
Speaker B: Right.
Speaker C: So you're helping that person through the message you are sharing on your stories or on any platforms you are in by being visible in front of them.
Speaker A: Yeah. If you really put the focus on helping others and not put it on yourself, that would be so much easier for you to show up.
Speaker C: Yes, definitely. So that's the best, I think, mindset shift that we can all take into when it comes to increasing our visibility. And also from that, how we can start Building our visibility strategy from scratch so we know what to do in terms of the mindset or the belief. But when it comes to the strategy, do you have any tips on how we can start?
Speaker A: Yes. Um, so I would say first of all just decide what platforms you want to use as your visibility vehicle. So I recommend having a primary and a secondary vehicle and that's it. Unless you have the capacity to be on, um, more than two platforms and still be able to master all of them, then that's fine, you can go ahead and be on three or more platforms. Um, and once you have that nail down, start with a visibility plan. So set your 90 day goals and look at your offers. Because your visibility plan has to go hand in hand with your content plan and your sales plan. And then you just plug in all the details in your plan, like you know, the what, the when, the how, the why, and just make sure you follow through your plan. And even if you don't want to create a plan, know that just by showing up consistently, it will change the game for you.
Speaker C: Yeah, thank you for that. Uh, and just a follow up question on that you mentioned about consistency. Yeah. Any tip on improving the consistency? Because I am also getting that question and how we can be consistent when it comes to content creation or in this case, um, being visible in front of our audience.
Speaker A: Yeah, I would say if you are super busy in your life, like you have like a 9 to 5 or you are parents, you have a lot of things going on in your life, batching is definitely very helpful. So you can just batch all your content, um, even like just filming stories for like the next few days in one day, that would help you a lot. So when you are able to batch that and then just schedule it out so that you have, you know, content for people to consume over the next few days or a week or two, that would already be so much better than, you know, you're trying to, um, show up, find time to show up every day. So um, I would say this is one tip that I can give for people if they are struggling with being consistent, is to really just batch your content, schedule it out so you don't have to worry about it later.
Speaker C: Yeah. Especially if you're so busy with other stuff in your life. Um, as Wa Jose mentioned, it's really best to have an advanced plan. Right. So planning is essential for us and we can do the batching of contents. And also one of the things that I have noted from what you have mentioned earlier is the link of your offer to visibility can you tell us more about that?
Speaker A: Yeah, I do have a coaching program that is about, um, helping people to be more visible. Helping people, especially introverts, to embrace their visibility mindset and to really show up as a leader while being themselves and to work on releasing the mental blocks and insecurities they have about themselves. Um, and then help them to uncover and embody their superpower so that they can show up confidently. Um, and then of course I will work with um, them on creating a visibility strategy and content strategy to help them stand out so that they can sell out your offer.
Speaker C: Yeah, thank you for sharing that, Jocelyn. And then, uh, another question about the content type. As you've mentioned, what do you think will be the best content type for us to increase our visibility?
Speaker A: Um, I still believe that you have to have like a combination of different content types when you post on social media because each content type serves its own purpose and together they will help you to be seen, you know, attract your ideal clients, get them into your community and convert them into paying clients eventually. But if you want me to really pick one type of content to help you to help people to increase their visibility, I would recommend posting content that makes them or makes people want to share. Makes people want to save. Right. Um, which means it has to be something that's not usual or it's something that go against the status quo or something that's unique, something that can go viral and something that's valuable.
Speaker C: Yeah, I love that. So it's not just about choosing the best content type, but it's more of thinking about how we can elevate the quality that we are producing in different forms. So not just in one form like video or graphic or a static post. Right? Yes. Yeah. And I've also noticed you're very active on reels.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker C: Of TikTok. But can you share us? What is your take on TikTok and reels when it comes to visibility?
Speaker A: Yeah, I just love reels because they are just fun for me. Um, but I would say that they are really great tools to help you expand your visibility. TikTok and Reels are similar and they are super engaging compared to other features like static post or you know, igtv because really people have short attention spans these days and anything that's short, like anything that's in short video format can really keep them engaged because people tend to drop out of long form videos that, you know, IGTV, um, live stream or even YouTube videos easily. But when it comes to TikTok and Reels, they would Normally watch the entire video because it's short, it's sweet, it's entertaining. Right. And at the moment, Instagram is also prioritizing reels feature, so it's easier for you to be seen, seen, or even blow up if you post reels more frequently. So for anyone who wants to explore reels or you know, for, for others or to have new eyeballs on your content, I would really recommend posting reels. Yeah.
Speaker C: Yeah. Thank you. And sorry, follow up question on that. Do you think it's okay to repost your TikTok video to Reels?
Speaker A: Yes. I am a big fan of repurposing the content so I do it myself too. I do post on TikTok and reels and I um, definitely repost it. I definitely repost my TikTok videos on reels. But one thing that I do is that I make sure I strip away the watermark or the logo and repost it on reels.
Speaker C: Thank you, Jocelyn.
Speaker A: You're welcome everyone.
Speaker C: You should follow Jocelyn. She's a lot of, you know, um, valuable posts in reels and also. Mhm. Yeah. And I have one last question for you. How does your visibility to strategy or your visibility plan helped you on your business as well?
Speaker A: Yeah. So having a visibility plan for my business helped me to see like which direction to go and help me to decide like what kind of strategy I want to stick with. Because without a visibility plan I would just, you know, um, hit the wall basically because I want, I won't really know what's performing and what's not performing. So having a visibility plan really show me what to do. For example, right now, um, I am doubling down on my reels because it's a part of my strategy. It's a part of um, it's in my visibility plan. So I make sure that I post reels every week. Right. Um, but for other people it might be different. Right. For others it can be, you know, showing up on livestream every single week or you know, um, posting stories every day or even use other platforms. So depending on what your goal is, decide what kind of platforms you want to be on and then um, see like what kind of content or features you want to be focusing on and use that to help you to get started.
Speaker C: Yeah. Thank you for that, Jocelyn. And before we end this episode, do you have any last tip that you want to share for us to improve our visibility?
Speaker A: Yes, I do. M. My last tip would be, um, to know what your superpower is. Because being visible to your ideal clients often means standing out from people who provide similar services to you. Um, and it will be really helpful for you to know what your superpower is. Um, own it fully and learn to leverage that to help you stand out and be visible.
Speaker C: Yeah, I so love that. So it's not just about increasing our visibility, but knowing also how to embrace your superpower or your gifts so that we can stand out while, uh, being visible in front of our ideologies. So remember everyone to be strategic about this and make sure to follow what Jocelyn also shared with us in terms of the strategy and mindset work. So thank you so much, Jocelyn for being here.
Speaker A: Thank you so much for having me, Sheila. Um, yeah.
Speaker C: And then do you have any upcoming programs that you want to promote or how can people work with you?
Speaker A: Yes. So, um, I guess by the time this episode is out, I am, um, launching a one on one coaching program called Stand out To sell out is a three month, um, one on one coaching program. And really the focus will be on visibility. And of course the end goal would always be helping you to sign clients. Right? Because again, like I said, your business, um, there's no point for you to be visible if your business is not generating any income. So the program is really, um, the focus is to really help you expand your visibility, help you to leverage your superpower to stand out in the online space and, you know, strategize your launch so that you can sell out your offer.
Speaker C: Thank you Jocelyn. And all of the links, um, can be found on the show notes here. So you can follow Jocelyn on Instagram and the website, uh, link will be also be shown on the show notes so just click there. Or you can reach out also to Jocelyn on Instagram if you have any follow up question or if you want to work with Jocelyn for the one on one coaching program and she will be the best visibility coach for you. Not just to improve your visibility, but also she will be helping you sign clients as well. So yeah, thank you again, Jocelyn for being here and we appreciate all the notes and things that you have shared with us and we are looking forward to the launch of your one on one program. Um, so thank you Jocelyn.
