Five dimensions, 20 points each
This episode addresses the core challenge facing entrepreneurs and service-based business owners: managing overwhelming marketing workloads without additional resources. Cam Roberts breaks down seven distinct AI applications that are already delivering measurable results across real businesses. The strategies span the entire marketing spectrum - from ChatGPT, Jasper, and Copy.ai for content drafting (reducing an 8-hour weekly task to 90 minutes), to specialized tools like Lately, Predis.ai, and Octo for social scheduling, to Smart Writer and Apollo AI for personalized cold outreach that boosts open rates from 0.5% to 24%. For customer interaction, chatbots like Tidio and Manychat recover lost revenue through 24/7 support, while optimization tools like Mutiny, Hotjar, and Surfer SEO improve conversion rates without increasing traffic. The episode also covers SEO through AI-assisted content tools like Semrush and Neuron Writer, and operational efficiency using Zapier and automated calling systems. Rather than theoretical exploration, Roberts grounds each method in case studies - a real estate agency generating five times more content, a fashion retailer recovering $120,000 through faster customer responses - making the business case clear for adoption now.
According to HubSpot data cited in the episode, 61% of marketers are using AI to generate content, and 44% report it delivers better ROI than traditional manual content creation methods.
A real example shared shows a solo business coach reduced their weekly email newsletters and social media content creation from 8 hours to under 90 minutes using AI tools with smart prompts.
Personalized AI-generated cold emails can achieve open rates of 9-24%, compared to 0.5% for generic mass broadcasts, according to the episode.
An online fashion store example showed a 17% reduction in cart abandonment rates through AI chatbots handling sizing, shipping, and return questions, translating to over $120,000 in recovered annual revenue.
Roberts recommends starting with one tool and testing it, with mentions of ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai for content; Lately, Predis.ai, Octo for social; and Smart Writer, Apollo AI for outreach as accessible entry points.

The episode covers practical AI applications with some concrete metrics (61% of marketers using AI, 44% ROI improvement, 42% click rate increase), but relies heavily on generic advice and platitudes ('don't fear AI,' 'start small'). Most claims are surface-level observations about existing tools rather than novel insights a competent marketer wouldn't already know.
44% say it delivers better return on investment than traditional old school manual laboring of creating content
Using AI to draft and then humanize it with your own tone and personality is the key
The episode recycles the standard 'AI is here, use it for content, emails, chatbots' framework that saturates marketing discourse. No contrarian takes, first-principles thinking, or counterintuitive arguments. The positioning is conventional marketing advice dressed up with AI buzzwords.
Whether you're writing emails, blogs, website copy or social media post tools like ChatGPT, Jasper and Copy, AI are doing 80% of the heavy lifting
AI is not the future. AI is the present
This is a solo host episode with no guest. Cam Roberts presents himself as a marketing strategist, but the transcript contains no evidence of specific operating experience, scale, or practitioner credibility beyond agency coaching claims.

The episode includes some real numbers (61% HubSpot stat, 44% ROI, 42% click increase, 9% vs 0.5% open rates, 17% abandonment drop, $120k recovered revenue, 1.6% to 4-10% opt-in improvement) and a few named examples (solo business coach, real estate agency, online fashion store). However, most case studies lack detail (no company names, timelines vague, metrics sometimes unverified), and tool recommendations are generic lists without depth.
According to HubSpot, 61% of all marketers are already using AI to generate content and 44% say it delivers better ROI than traditional methods
One of my agency clients, a solo business coach, used to spend eight hours a week writing his own email Newsletters, social media posts, and so on. I gave him a few smart prompts to use and now in under 90 minutes, they have all of their content sorted for the whole week. And guess what? Click rates are up 42%
This is a monologue, not a conversation. There are no guest interactions, follow-up questions, or genuine dialogue. The host delivers a scripted pitch with no push-back, challenge, or intellectual friction. The structure is formulaic (numbered list, soft close with CTA) and designed as a sales funnel rather than exploratory discussion.
Now, if you're like most people I speak to, you're probably juggling 19 things at once
So let's jump into the seven ways AI is being used right now. Number one, content creation

Speaker B: Hey there, uh, welcome back to the Personal Brand Talk Show. I'm Cam Roberts, your host marketing strategist for entrepreneurs, service based business owners and growing brands. Now, if you're like most people I speak to, you're probably juggling 19 things at once. A lot of business owners, entrepreneurs and even larger brands with marketing teams in place are, uh, spinning too many plates and turning too many cogs in their business. You've got emails to write, leads to follow up, content to post, even ads to manage. Well, what if I told you AI? Yes, artificial intelligence is no longer just for Silicon Valley. It's no longer for the tech giants. It now can be your secret weapon too. That's what this episode is all about. Today, I'm breaking down the seven ways AI is transforming small business marketing and how you can use it. Starting today. By the end of this episode, you'll walk away with some real true stories, some real tools, and some actionable insights on how AI can save you time, make you money, and more importantly, get you back your freedom. So let's get into it. Let's dive in. First things first, why AI and why now? Well, let's look at what AI is. AI is not the future. AI is the present. Businesses and brands are using it right now to reduce manual work, lower costs, increase engagement, and yes, even close sales. According to HubSpot, 61% of all marketers are already using AI to generate content and 44% say it delivers better ROI than traditional methods. Let me say that again. 44% say it delivers better return on investment than traditional old school manual laboring of creating content. So this episode just isn't about theory, folks. It's about what's happening in the real businesses, in the real brands across the globe. So let's jump into the seven ways AI is being used right now. Number one, content creation. Now, that doesn't sound like a robot doing all the work. So let's start with the obvious one, content. Whether you're writing emails, blogs, website copy or social media post tools like ChatGPT, Jasper and Copy, AI are doing 80% of the heavy lifting. Let's look at a real world example. One of my agency clients, a solo business coach, used to spend eight hours a week writing his own email Newsletters, social media posts, and so on. I gave him a few smart prompts to use and now in under 90 minutes, they have all of their content sorted for the whole week. And guess what? Click rates are up 42%. Using AI to draft and then humanize it with your own tone and personality is the key. Now the second way that AI is being used is in social media posting without getting the burnout. Now I don't know about you, but if you're like most brands and businesses out there in cyberspace and Internet marketing land, you know, you just struggle to keep up with the amount of social media posting and content you got to create. And then you wonder if anyone ever sees it. So someone in your office is creating all that content, but does anyone see it anyway? Right, so there's tools that are available like lately, um, Press, um, Predis, AI and Octo that not only schedule content, they create it for you. And there's plenty others. We also use internal ones that create and analyze your past posts, suggest high performing content formats, and even write captions with hashtags. An example of this is a real estate agency that I coach to use one of these AI tools on their carousels. Based on their listings of blogs, they now do five times more content with no extra hours and their profile visits have tripled. That is how you stay visible, relevant and consistent without adding hours to your workload. Now, uh, let's look at the third way that AI is helping brands and businesses in lead generation and personalized outreach. Now, cold outreach is dead. It always has been, unless there's a caveat on that, unless it's personalized. So that's where tools like Smart Writer, lavender and Apollo AI come in. They scan a prospect's website or LinkedIn content and generate context aware emails that feels like a human has written them. This is fantastic for B2B marketing. If you're in the business and you need to market to other businesses, this is perfect for you. What I see is people running cold email marketing campaigns, just doing mass broadcasts, sending them out, but there's no personalized content. If you can get AI to create context aware emails, you'll not only increase your open rates from 0.5% to 9% or even 24%, you'll actually start closing more sales. It's no fluff, it's just better, uh, messaging by using AI. Now, the fourth way brands and businesses are using AI is in AI chatbots and customer support. That's where you have a 24. 7 sales assistant. It's like A virtual receptionist working while you're asleep. Chatbots like Tidio, Manychat and Air AI handle FAQs. They capture leads, they answer service questions, and even book meetings. That's insane, right? You can have an AI tool book your meetings for you without a person. So a case study for this is like if an online fashion store, for instance, used a bot to help people with their sizing, shipping and return questions, you could drop your abandonment rates by 17% now over the period of a year. That could equal over 120,000 in recovered revenue just by answering people's questions faster. And the great news is that these bots, right, these AI chatbots, they plug straight into your CRM so your leads and your customers don't slip through the cracks. The fifth one is sales funnels Optimization gives you the data without the guesswork. So if you're struggling with your sales funnel's performance, you can use tools like Mutiny, hotjar, Surfer SEO to help you identify which headlines convert better, uh, where people are dropping off, how to fix it, and how to use AI driven AB testing and visitor heat maps. This way the clients win, the brands win, everyone wins, the customer wins. If you can increase your opt in rates by 1.6%, it can jump up exponentially by using heat maps and sales funnel optimization to 4 to 10%. That nearly triples the amount of leads without changing the traffic sources. Look, your funnel isn't broken. It just needs an AI upgrade. The sixth way that brands and businesses are using AI and the tools that they use is in SEO and blogging. And this is where you don't have to hire a full time writer. If you want more organic traffic, AI can help. Even Google has said that it's okay to use AI tools to write blogs and write content for your website as long as it's humanized and as long as it meets the criteria that Google is looking for for quality content. If you're just going to AI and ChatGPT and copilot and things like that and just data dumping and getting something and posting it straight on your website, well of course that's not content that people are looking for. That's not the quality that Google's looking for. So if you're serious about using AI effectively, you'll use more effective prompts. You'll use tools like Surfer SEO, uh, Semrush, AI Neuron Writer to not just help you write, but tell you what to write and fill in the gaps in your market. This will allow you to move from like page 10 to page 5 from page 5 to page 2 and page 2 to even page 1 and and then improve your rankings from 5, 3 and then get them up to 1 within the matter of 2 to 3 months, all by using consistent, consistent organic leads that flow in every week. These AI tools can write better content in such a way that will rank better than what you can write as a human. The seventh and final way that brands and businesses are using tools for marketing and AI is in internal operations and admin. This means you don't get drained. And it's not AI is just not for marketing. It's for automation too. So with tools like Zapier, OpenAI, Norton AI and Air AI, you can summarize meeting notes, auto update spreadsheets, and even make AI powered outbound phone calls to potential clients. This is where you can use AI call to call, call unresponsive quotes, automatically use a bot. So it's kind of natural for the prospects and it feels like a human. It'll increase your closing rates exponentially and within weeks you can put off the staff member or put those additional staff members that were doing that heavy lifting, put them on somewhere else. So let's wrap it up. Don't fear AI. Leverage it. AI isn't the future, it's the present. AI isn't going to replace you. It's replacing the versions of you that's overworked, underpaid and burned out. So whether you're a solo entrepreneur, an agency owner, a consultant, a coach, a small business, or a brand, a big brand, an E commerce brand, there's AI tools out there for you that can free up your time, improve your marketing, and unlock new revenue without new highs. So here's my advice. Start small. Don't do everything all at once. Pick one AI tool and try it this week. Test it, learn it, use it, tweak it, improve it, optimize it. Because if you don't, your competitors will want a hand setting up your AI. Want to know what tools are right for you?
