Kevin examines Loox Product Reviews and Photos, a Shopify app designed to streamline UGC collection and review management. The platform allows customers to submit photo and video reviews alongside text feedback, creating a powerful content library that serves dual purposes: authentic product visualization for potential buyers and ready-made marketing assets for the brand. The app integrates with Google Shopping to display star ratings in product listing ads, potentially improving CTR and conversion in paid search. Pricing ranges from $9.99 to $29.99 monthly with optional video support, plus a 14-day free trial. Kevin emphasizes the business logic: customers see products in real-world contexts (dining tables, outdoor settings), which builds confidence in purchase decisions and provides brands with organic content they'd otherwise need to create or pay influencers to produce. He notes the monthly review request email limit of 300 may be artificially restrictive given how reviews compound product stickiness over time.
Loox is a Shopify app that collects customer reviews with photos and videos, creating a visual review feed that serves as both social proof and user-generated content for marketing. It also integrates with Google Shopping to display star ratings in product listing ads.
Loox pricing starts at $9.99/month for the basic plan with 14-day free trial, and scales up to approximately $29 - 30/month for plans that include video support and additional features.
Image reviews show products in real-world contexts (on dining tables, outdoors, in use), which helps potential customers visualize fit, size, and aesthetic appeal, making them far more persuasive than product photos or text feedback alone.
Yes, the Growth Plan includes Google Shopping integration that displays five-star ratings directly in product listing ads, helping brands stand out in search results.
The app includes 300 monthly review request emails, though Kevin suggests this limit may be artificially low given the compounding value of accumulating reviews over time.
Our reviewer’s read on each dimension, with quotes from the episode.
The episode is almost entirely surface-level app narration with no non-obvious claims; the closest thing to an insight is noting that image reviews help customers visualize products, which is self-evident. Roughly three minutes yields zero actionable intelligence a B2B operator wouldn't already know.
this is awesome because this helps with just content generation for your brand and your company
that's really why i like something like luke's or even just picture reviews in general
Every point made is recycled conventional wisdom - UGC builds trust, Amazon does it too, cheap apps are better than expensive ones. There is no contrarian angle, no first-principles reasoning, and no fresh framing of any kind.
you see amazon do this with their reviews as well and this just completely makes sense
this is another plugin that i really like
There is no guest; the episode is a solo monologue by a host who shares no credentials, no scale of operation, and no track record with the tool beyond having looked at its demo store. This is effectively an unverified app recommendation.
Hey guys, Kevin here from Boy Media and today I want to go over a Shopify app that I really like
anyways my name is kevin here from boy media any questions or comments feel free to email me
The only concrete data points are pricing tiers ($9.99/month starting, ~$30 for growth, $5 more for Google Shopping, 300 monthly review-request emails, 14-day trial). No conversion data, no uplift metrics, no named brand case studies, and no evidence the host has actually used the product at scale.
the pricing starts at 999 999 a month with a 14 day free trial
300 monthly request review emails
This is an unstructured solo ramble with no guest, no prepared questions, no follow-up, and frequent self-correction and filler. There is no craft to evaluate beyond a stream-of-consciousness screen-share narration.
let's just look at a quick demo to sort of see how it is so let's see demo store go down here
honestly i think like this is nice that 300 monthly request review emails and if i were them i would make this unlimited because once you have reviews you it makes a product sticky

Ask yourself this. Which are you more likely to respond positively to a photo created by a brand you follow or shared by a person you know and revere? There are many reasons why UGC has become as desirable as it is, but in the end, it’s about the ability to capture an unscripted moment. It’s about creativity, authenticity, and perspective. It’s about relaying a profoundly personal experience that a brand cannot objectively recreate. Whether you’re a global retailer or a local business, you can harness UGC to bolster your brand message,

Hey guys, Kevin here from Boy Media and today I want to go over a Shopify app that I really like and an app that I think a lot of brands should be using. I'll go over why it makes sense for people and again just sort of what the app is called. So let's dive right in. The app that I'm talking about is called Luke's Product Reviews and Photos and the reason why I like it is because as the app says you can have image reviews with your reviews and this is awesome because this helps with just content generation for your brand and your company but at the same time it also helps people visualize how the products look like maybe the size maybe how it compares to things that your customers might have and again let's just look at a quick demo to sort of see how it is so let's see demo store go down here let's say we're going looking at these um you know puppy bison buddies and this is sort of how it looks again this is awesome because you could see how this is so powerful now that you can have the product being used in real life with a review of a customer and you see amazon do this with their reviews as well and this just completely makes sense so i really like it and again you can also have videos as well tiktok videos so you can import those i'm pretty sure but at the same time it just looks really good in this sort of grid format i know that customers love it because they could see the actual product so let's look at another thing that they have And let's just look at the pricing real quick so that you can see the pricing starts at 999 999 a month with a 14 day free trial.
Honestly, with like with these type of apps, the 14 day free trial is kind of nice. But think about it. How many reviews are you going to get in 14 days? Probably not that many unless you have tons and tons of new customers And even then you probably have vetted this app to think about it So really you should be thinking about this it going to cost you anywhere between maybe nine to thirty bucks a month getting started and then you know you can sort of send these uh you got like these monthly review request emails honestly i think like this is nice that 300 monthly request review emails and if i were them i would make this unlimited because once you have reviews you it makes a product sticky so you know you kind of you might want to get more that way your customers can do it but this is not related to the app.
This is more related to like the business of Luke's. And again, so think about paying 30 bucks a month for this app. It's pretty cheap compared to other ones. I know there's other ones that just charge you a ton, which makes no sense because it's a review app.
But this one I like because it's also images and videos as well. And I guess if you want the videos, you could see this here. Another thing here, if you look at the growth plan that you might want to be interested in is that it includes Google Shopping. So Google Shopping is obviously the Google PLA campaigns, product listing ads.
