Adina Levy transforms what could be a generic productivity talk into a meta-masterclass by literally creating this episode while explaining her system. She reveals the concrete workflow neurodivergent business owners can steal: using Notion to build a 'Content Forest' that centralizes values, voice, calls-to-action, and past content; leveraging Notion AI to move from scattered sparks to strategic direction; and deploying Descript for recording with minimal editing friction. The episode tackles the core problem for ADHD and autistic creators - the gap between rambly brain-sparks and publishable content - by showing how AI acts as a collaborative thinking partner, not a replacement. Levy emphasizes capturing ideas (her hack: voice reminders to Siri while driving) and building personal systems to resurface them. She walks through her exact chat prompts with AI to develop the episode title, then shows how she uses Descript's AI cleanup tools and a custom GPT-based show notes helper to eliminate her biggest friction point. Throughout, she stresses keeping your voice by guiding AI at every stage rather than handing it the entire task. For B2B operators selling to neurodivergent audiences, this demonstrates both a business model (her paid AI workshop on January 22) and a replicable content machine that turns scattered thinking into strategic output.

Key takeaways

  • →Build a centralized 'Content Forest' in Notion containing your values, voice, target audience, past transcripts, and CTAs so AI has context to help you move from blank-page paralysis to strategic direction.
  • →Capture rambling thoughts immediately (voice reminders, scrappy notes) and create a separate system to resurface them, because the spark matters but the return-visit structure is what prevents ideas from disappearing.
  • →Use AI collaboratively at each production stage - outlining, title refinement, show notes - rather than asking it to write final content, and guide it with more context each round to keep your authentic voice intact.
  • →Identify your personal friction point in content creation (hers was show notes) and automate or delegate exactly that, not the whole process, to unlock your output without losing authenticity.
  • →Record directly into Descript, use its AI to remove silences and filler words, then do one full human listen-back to catch cuts and preserve the natural thinking-out-loud quality your audience values.

Questions this episode answers

How do I move from having random ideas to actually publishing strategic content as a neurodivergent business owner?

Build a centralized Notion board ('Content Forest') with your values, voice, audience, and past content, then use Notion AI to help you connect scattered sparks to your current business goal or call-to-action before you start creating.

What's the best way to capture ideas when they strike and make sure you don't lose them?

Use your phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant) to create reminders while you're away from a device - Adina records them while driving - and then have a system to review and resurface those captured ideas regularly.

How should I use AI to create content without it sounding generic or losing my voice?

Work with AI collaboratively at each stage (topic, title, outline, show notes) rather than asking it to write the whole thing at once, and give it progressively more guidance - what you like, what's missing, which options to combine - so you're curating, not replacing yourself.

What's the fastest way to turn a podcast recording into published content?

Record directly into Descript, use its AI to auto-remove silences and filler words, listen through once yourself to catch any cuts or errors, then use a custom AI prompt (like a show notes GPT) to auto-generate supporting assets like show notes and email angles.

Where should I focus my automation efforts if I have limited time?

Identify the one step in your workflow that creates the biggest block or friction (Adina's was show notes writing), and automate or delegate just that task - not the whole process - so you can move forward without losing your voice in other areas.

Insight Density

12 / 20

The episode delivers practical workflow advice (Notion setup, Descript, AI integration) relevant to neurodivergent content creators, but much of it is self-promotional context and meta-rambling rather than dense, non-obvious insights. The core idea - using AI to move from scattered thoughts to structured content - is useful but not novel, and significant portions are filler about scheduling, daughter time, and workshop pitches.

So by having everything within my Content Forest system that, you know, the system's behind it all. I could then go to AI and get the guidance to hone what am I gonna be sharing about today?
whatever part of your processes you notice, you get a big block on, that is where you need help. That is where you need AI or human or automation help.

Originality

10 / 20

The meta approach of recording a podcast *about* the podcast creation process is somewhat fresh, but the underlying frameworks (use templates, capture ideas, collaborate with AI) are standard advice circulating widely in creator and neurodivergent business communities. No contrarian takes or first-principles arguments emerge; instead, it reinforces conventional wisdom about process and tools.

I'm talking you through my process of creating this episode because I know as neurodivergent business owners, we can get so stuck very often in overthinking
the system's behind it all. I could then go to AI and get the guidance to hone what am I gonna be sharing about today?

Guest Caliber

0 / 20

This is a solo episode with no guest. The host is a business coach and multiple business owner, but she is discussing her own process rather than bringing in practitioners or operators with distinct expertise or contrasting perspectives to challenge or enrich the narrative.

Welcome to the Differently Aligned podcast for neurodivergent business owners. I'm Adina Levy.

Specificity & Evidence

11 / 20

The episode names specific tools (Notion, Descript, ChatGPT/custom GPTs, Apple Watch/Siri) and describes concrete workflows with step-by-step detail. However, it lacks named examples of successful content pieces, actual metrics from her business, dollar figures, or evidence of results. The advice is procedural but not quantified.

I use notion to contain, well, all of my business stuff. Now it's got my Content Forest for both my businesses.
I am recording into Descript, which is an app I've used for years for podcast and video edits.

Conversational Craft

7 / 20

Solo format limits natural dialogue, but the host frequently acknowledges listener experience and invites engagement ("Does that feel familiar?", "Let me know what you wanna hear more of"). However, there is no pushback, no challenging of assumptions, and no willingness to explore counterarguments or complexities. The tone is reassuring rather than intellectually rigorous, and key claims (e.g., that AI helps her get 'unstuck') go unexplored.

Does that feel familiar?
I am rambling, so thank you for being here and listening.

Welcome to the Differently Aligned podcast for neurodivergent business owners. I'm Adina Levy. I'm an autistic, ADHDer, business coach, speech therapist, professional educator, and multiple business owner. I support neurodivergent business owners to create businesses that are sustainable, enjoyable, impactful, profitable, and burnout free.

I provide safe spaces for you to share with like-minded community who get it, me included. Everyone is welcome here. Whatever your neuro type, gender, race, any other intersections and special, fantastic, unique things that make you you, you are welcome here. This podcast is recorded on the Aboriginal lands of the Gadigal and Bidjigal people.

I acknowledge the traditional owners, elders past and present, and I extend my respect to any First Nations people who are listening in. Hi, friends. Happy New Year. If this is the first time that I'm coming to your ears in 2026, I really like this number.

Yeah, because there are 26 letters in the alphabet. It's pretty much as simple as that. I wanted to do a very meta kind of podcast episode where I'm talking you through my process of creating this episode because I know as neurodivergent business owners, we can get so stuck very often in overthinking, in too many competing thoughts in all kinds of different ways, and I experience them daily. And what's really important if we're trying to actually move our businesses forward is to find the actions, the processes, the structures.

The workflows that help us individually get unstuck and put something out there. So quite literally for me today, this is putting the podcast episode out there. I really wanna commit to more frequent, shorter episodes. You probably heard me say this a few times on the podcast, and this absolutely is my year to do it because I have.

Carved out more time for content creation. And because I spent a lot of last year building the systems and processes that helped me do this faster, so now is my time to use them. Hopefully there's something that I share that will help you feel you can get unstuck. So I knew today I wanted to record a podcast episode.

There is not much on my little paper list. There's a lot in my project management that I could work on today, but I have a very short work day. That's the nature of school holidays and on my very small list in my paper planner, which I'm committing to using for. More than just a week of the year.

I've got DA pod, that's the differently aligned podcast. That's this right here that I'm doing. I've got pod share that's, you know, record it and then share it. I've got zero meaning XERO.

So the accounting software to clean up a few things in there have done that already. I do have a couple of other things I'd like to get to today, and I know given my short workday, probably won't, so they might get a little arrow on them that we'll send them off to tomorrow. So here I was sitting going, I know I'm recording a podcast episode today. What's it gonna be about the blank page, blank brain sort of thing.

Does that feel familiar? And what I'm sharing with you is how I got so unstuck as to get to this point and what are the processes that I use regularly? Both you know, the systems that I've built in my business, the workflows as well, the tools that I'm using that might be of use to you, especially if you're interested in podcasting. And how I'm using AI along the way to help me put this out.

But you know, it's me, I'm human, me sharing my ideas. You know, I want you to see how I've used AI to help me get the best of me out there to help me get unstuck, to help me. Get clear on my direction and the menu of options that I could share rather than blank page. I've got, okay, three ideas.

Cool. So let's get into some specifics in terms of apps. I use notion to contain, well, all of my business stuff. Now it's got my Content Forest for both my businesses.

It contains transcripts of all my courses, webinars, podcast episodes, and so on. It's got all the pieces of content in there. So the emails I send, the social media posts that I create. Podcast outlines, et cetera.

It's also got a lot of background and these are what I call the roots. Maybe you joined me in my training in November and maybe. If you're interested, please do join my live workshop that I'm running on the 22nd of January. That's 10 days from when I'm releasing this.

So 22nd of January, 2026, I'm running a rare live only workshop where I will be running you through, actively running you through the process. Of using AI for content creation in your voice. So rather than teaching you the ideas, I'm actually going to be pretty much handholding like it's on Zoom, so I can't really hold your hand, but I'll be taking you through the steps and you'll have time and space to ask questions to go through the process as you are learning with me. A very active two hour workshop.

It is a paid one. It's a very. Like cozy connected live space. There is early bird pricing until the end of Tuesday, the 13th of January, Sydney time.

We live in the future. Go check the link in the show notes. You'll find all the information you need so the earlier you join, the better Part of the roots of the content forest contain all the things like the values in my business, the overall guiding pieces, like who I'm for, who I'm speaking to, why I exist. The breadth of support I provide the voice, the tone, the types of things that I talk about, and also it contains.

The calls to action. And by that I mean, what am I asking people to do here in this podcast episode, your call to action is go and check out my live workshop, AI for Content creation in your voice. And if you're listening after that's run, please go to that page anyway and you'll find links to other things that might be of use. But.

The idea is like, my system has all of this because honestly, my brain can't, and I have admittedly built two businesses that have a lot of moving pieces, and I cannot contain it in my brain. So when I say I'm gonna go record a podcast, blank page says, okay, but what, like, what am I talking about? I could talk about anything. I could talk about nothing.

So by having everything within my Content Forest system that, you know, the system's behind it all. I could then go to AI and get the guidance to hone what am I gonna be sharing about today? How does it connect to the thing that I'm selling, to the thing that I want to ask you to do next? So my content becomes.

Strategic in a way, I am rambling, so thank you for being here and listening. I'm talking through what I'm living and experiencing, but I have heard from folks before that this kind of thing is very helpful for you. By having strategically aligned content, I know that the things that I'm joyfully rambling about actually make sense and they move my business forward. They help you learn and understand my mindset around this particular topic of systems and AI to help you actually move forward, but with genuine, you.

We're keeping you in the loop at every stage. So I am gonna open up here my chat with AI that happened just before hitting record. I am gonna talk you through either I'll, like read the prompts or tell you what they were about, if they're a bit long. So the very first message I wrote, and this was within Notion ai, so it can actually read and see all of the stuff that I let it inside my notion board, it can see what am I selling.

It has the background of the main marketing messages around that offer. It has the information about who that's for. The breadth of topics and so on. So I, it almost allows me to have like shorthand for then being able to easily take the next step strategically.

I said to notion ai, I need to quickly decide on a podcast to record. I have an idea, but I'm not a hundred percent sure that one is for me. And I'll just make a note. That idea was like a.

A nice one, and I've parked it for later, but it's not something that is particularly aligned for this topic and the thing I'm selling right now anyway, so I've written the purpose slash call to action is to get signups for my A ICC workshop on the 22nd. The content I shared last week went very well. Big response, and that was me talking about, you might've seen my post. Stop believing this neurotypical bullshit about posting on social media.

And it was very cool to see that resonated with a lot of people. Anyway, that was my little backstory. But so I said to ai the content went very well. Maybe there's one key thing from there to dive into deeper.

And so today I came to it not with a rambly idea. But I will say, and I know for many of you and for me in other moods, I have an idea, I have a spark. I think, oh, I wanna talk about this thing. Or I realize something that I've been teaching or sharing or experiencing could be really valuable to share.

But I don't in that moment have a way, or I don't have the time to actually go and turn it into like an email or a post or a podcast. And so. Very often for me, the process starts with that seed of an idea, and then I'm riffing with AI to help me flesh it out and turn it into something. In order to not lose that seed, I have a very hacky way that I capture my ideas, and I want you to find that same thought for you.

If you don't have a way, if you feel that you're often having a spark of a thought of something you might wanna share with your audience, and then it's gone, you have to find your personal system to capture it. In some way. And second to that, you have to find your personal system for returning to that. You know, whether it's a list, a piece of paper, you know, a scrappy note in your notes app on your phone, wherever that is for you.

Don't let it go into a deep void and it's gone forever. You have great ideas there. So it's kind of two systems you need to build there. How are you capturing your sparks and how are you going back to those sparks?

So my hacky system for me, I've got an Apple watch and an iPhone, and I often have sparks while I'm driving and I will just, while I'm driving, press the like voice. Thing, I don't know, the button in my car where I get to press it and then I get to speak to Siri and I'll say, add a reminder for, I'll pick a time where I know that I'm not driving a time where I'm sitting with a device, add a reminder for blah blah time, and then I'll just say whatever my spark is. And even if it gets captured quite imperfectly or it's a bit vague, I usually.

I'm able to capture enough that I remember later what was that idea? And then I can take that into my notion board and turn it into something bigger. That's what I do when I'm in like rambly mood and I wanna then make it strategic. If I had come here with a specific thing I wanted to talk about, an idea or a story, my first prompt to AI would've been something like, here's what I wanna talk about today, and I would just paste it in.

Can you help me connect it to what I wanna sell or the call to action where I wanna lead people next? And it would help me shape that into something that leads to the next thing. So can you see here how we're taking our. Scattered, random, diverse, exciting brain sparks, and somehow turning them into something that makes strategic sense, something that we can move forward because we're working collaboratively with AI to help us get there.

And so today the spark was, I know there's some more good stuff in that post that I shared last week. I shared eight myths, and so I can talk more about one of those. We actually ended up going with the idea, I think it was myth three, that, or the, this sort of neurotypical expectation that content should flow perfectly from brain to page because I know it doesn't work like that. Probably not for most humans and especially for Neurodivergent folks.

It's. You know, our brains work in all kinds of interesting ways, and some are great and like really useful for our content creation and our business processes. And some are really scattered and could potentially work against us until we find a way to work with it. So the rest of my chat with Notion ai, that happened up to the point of hitting record.

It suggested a few of the myths from last week's post, and I picked out myth number three, contention flow perfectly from brain to page. I wrote. Myth number three topic, but twist it to make it a great hook. Suggest a hook title around this topic.

It suggested eight and I didn't really like any of them, but it sparked something in me. I picked bits of two that I liked and I wrote combined somehow, and it came up with more, and I wasn't quite there, but it was getting closer Now through this process. I was a erasing that blank page paralysis or the, I have so many ideas, or I have no ideas. It just helped us move things forward.

It's giving me options along the way. I'm giving it more and more guidance saying I like a little bit of column A, column B. I like three, but it's missing something or you know, it's still me. And we are riffing together, going back and forth.

And we got to the point. Where I settled on this title Get Unstuck. Turn your rambling Thoughts into strategic content without the struggle. And I feel like the, you know, they're all important angles to take, but the without the struggle is really important because I did not freeze up.

I didn't just go I dunno what to do. And then I did like, you know, the emails that were. Right in front of me. That seemed easy and obvious or annoying, but you know, less amorphous than I could record a podcast on any topic.

And so using AI to help me get unstuck, to help me think through my own plans, my own content is so, so important. It's the only way I get things done, I'll be honest. It is like a little assistant and. Everything I teach in my AI for content creation in your voice is about keeping your voice throughout this.

I do not just say, Hey, ai, write me a script for a podcast episode about turning your rambling thoughts into strategic content without the context, without a deep database of my transcripts, for example, that my notion AI does have. Even then, it still would probably not do a great job for me. But working through each stage with ai, helping gets me to the next stage. What's our topic?

What's the purpose? What's the outline? And then I get these ideas and I can curate them more. So that's basically the process.

Just in terms of more specifics for apps and so on. I am recording into Descript, which is an app I've used for years for podcast and video edits. I record my podcast episodes straight into it. I say it with hesitation.

I love hate it, not hate ambivalent. I don't know. They very often do updates and they've been changing their business model and they've been updating things and some things have broken and got less good. So it's still a very good one and I still use it, but I'm always looking, I'm considering changing apps as well.

But yeah, anyway, I, yeah, Descript is pretty good. So it's like the start of the word description. I'll put a linkage into the show notes. It is my affiliate link.

I still stand by it. It is a great and powerful app. But it's it's always a work in progress and sometimes things move around and that can be a bit confusing, but it works. It works pretty well.

And so my process then, once I finish recording, I just. Yeah, I wanna map out like what happens next. So it will then, like what I'm recording now into D script. It will save, I will then use the d script AI that will remove silences while I've been sort of thinking and staring out the window.

And it will also remove ums and ahs if I want to. I do generally do this more for my solo episodes and less when I have a chat with somebody else. I like to keep that more kind of natural for both of us. So.

That is like click of a button stuff, and that's not perfect. And so I then go back and re-listen to everything. That's the process, it saves a lot of time. I get some AI help on that, but I do a human listen all the way back through to make sure that things like words haven't been cut off.

Or I can do more kind of style edits as needed, but I don't usually edit too much 'cause I just want you to hear me. To hear me and my brain thoughts and I'm untangling them as I go. And maybe that's relatable for you. There's a lot of manual steps, and I am working on automations more and more every single time I go and get my podcast episodes out into the world, basically to reduce how many manual steps there are from exporting that podcast all the way to getting it to your ears in the podcast player, to creating social media posts around it, to drafting emails, to share it, all of that.

The work flows on that. I would love to spend the rest of today working on it, but also equally, I have to go and watch a show with my daughter and my mom. So that's why I have a shorter workday, and that's joyful too. The system improvements I will work on later.

The number one big thing that I use AI for. Once the podcast episode is all recorded, I export the transcript. I save that to Notion and also I have a show notes AI Helper. I initially created it as a custom GPT inside chat, GPT.

It's quite personalized to me and how I like my show notes to be written. But it would actually be quite easy to make it your own if you want to do something similar. So if you want that, just send me an email or a DM and I'll be able to send that to you. So like the prompt that I use for my show notes and because that was always a big block for me, and the message here for you is whatever part of your processes you notice, you get a big block on, that is where you need help.

That is where you need AI or human or automation help. To move through that block. So you need to be out there paying attention. For me, the block was like, well, I've done my recording.

I can't be bothered writing my show notes. I don't know what it was about. So AI's great at writing show notes and I've given it very clear formatting for how to do that. So I literally give it the transcript and press a button and it gives me my show notes about 99% good.

By my standards, I could probably publish them as is and it would be like, fine. By your standards probably. So there is my rambling. I hope you have seen that.

It is also strategic because the whole way along, I'm sharing my systems, my processes, my struggles, and also how I'm using AI along the way. I will also be getting Notion AI to then take that transcript and suggest angles for the email that I'll be sending you. That will say, you know, here's some ideas. Like, I like to share something in the email.

Not to say there's a new podcast, but actually to share some ideas. Listen more in the podcast. And register for the workshop. I have prompts, I have processes, I have systems, and I have really flexible tools that you can use and take and run with and turn into your own versions to help you take that friction or that stuckness away from content creation.

Capture your rambling thoughts or turn that blank page into something you know, clear and strategic, and keep your voice and perspective the whole way. I would love for you to join me at the AI for Content Creation in your voice workshop on the 22nd of January. And if you're listening like now. Today there is early bird pricing until the end of Tuesday, the 13th of January, Sydney time.

We live in the future. Go check the link in the show notes. You'll find all the information you need so the earlier you join, the better check it out and let me know if you have any questions. Let me know what you wanna hear more of.

It's been a joy sharing with you and thank you for letting me ramble strategically. I would love to hear what's been useful for you. And I'll see you at the workshop. Have a beautiful day.
