This weekly Midstream Minute episode delivers a rapid-fire digest of capital investments, regulatory approvals, and industry events shaping the oil and gas midstream sector. Kinder Morgan's $9.6 billion project backlog and Williams' $5.34 billion power innovation joint venture with Blackstone highlight continued infrastructure development, while Canadian projects like ATCO's Yellowhead pipeline ($2.9 billion) and Texas LNG expansion signal cross-border momentum. The episode catalogs dozens of upcoming networking opportunities - from the APGA annual conference in Providence to regional pipeliner association events, women's leadership summits, and the flagship PPIM conference scheduled for January 2027 in Houston. Sponsor Pipe Exchange is highlighted for maintaining API-compliant line pipe inventory to eliminate lead times. Insight Density

3 / 20

This episode is almost entirely a news digest and events calendar read-aloud with no analysis, context, or insights. The host simply lists project names, dollar amounts, and event dates without explaining their significance, implications, or what a B2B operator should do with this information. There are no frameworks, no strategic takeaways, and no non-obvious claims that would help an operator learn anything beyond raw event listings.

Kinder Morgan has a 9.6 billion dollar project backlog which signals continued growth across North American energy infrastructure
Coming up this week in UM events July 26th through 29th the APGA annual conference will take place in Providence, Rhode island

Originality

2 / 20

This is a purely aggregated calendar of industry events and news headlines with zero original analysis, contrarian thinking, or fresh perspectives. It reads like a wire service bulletin board with no editorial voice, interpretation, or novel framing that would differentiate it from a simple email digest or LinkedIn post.

In the news Kinder Morgan has a 9.6 billion dollar project backlog
Williams announced a $5.34 billion investment in power Innovation Joint venture from Blackstone

Guest Caliber

0 / 20

There is no guest on this episode. The host reads news and calendar items alone, with only a brief sponsor mention. This is not a guest-driven format and therefore does not apply to the guest caliber dimension - it scores zero by default as there is no substantive guest interaction to evaluate.

Specificity & Evidence

12 / 20

The episode includes specific dollar figures ($9.6 billion, $5.34 billion, $2.9 billion, etc.), named companies (Kinder Morgan, Williams, ATCO, Chesapeake Utilities), geographic locations (Houston, Denver, Littleton), and dated events. However, no financial metrics, performance data, timeline details, or outcome evidence are provided - only announcement figures and event schedules, which limits the depth of specificity useful to an operator.

Kinder Morgan has a 9.6 billion dollar project backlog
ATCO's Yellowhead pipeline receives final AUC approval and construction to begin immediately. This is an estimated $2.9 billion project

Conversational Craft

1 / 20

This is a solo read with no host-guest dialogue, follow-up questions, or conversational depth. The host simply delivers items in a flat, list-like cadence with no probing, challenge, or exploration of any topic. The format actively excludes the kind of conversational craft that would generate substantive B2B learning.
