Hello, everybody, and welcome to the very first episode of the Wealth Build Hers podcast. I am your host, Renee Williams, and I will be joined by my co-host, Camille Davis, as we go with you on this journey to financial freedom.

Whether you are an entrepreneurial woman or you're a real estate investor, we created this podcast just for you. We thought we would do this very first episode in an interview style, but what we ended up doing was just having a conversation truly about what it is that we wanted to do to help you in your journey. So we're going to talk about, number one, who our listener is. Number two, what are your pain points?

And number three, why we are uniquely suited to help you to go to the next level in your business. So what you're about to hear is a conversation between myself and Camille Davis talking about all of those things. We hope that you can glean something, not just from this first episode, but also from this podcast. We have some spectacular interviews coming up that we've already done with some great women.

We want to help you get to where you have a thriving, growing, fantastic business that you absolutely love. So listen in to our conversation right now as we get going on this first episode of the Wealth Builders podcast. So now we can talk about who is our listener that we're wanting to attract or speak to with this podcast. I want to empower women because we are powerful.

We are the glue that holds everything together. And we have so much to contribute to society that I just want to really from an outside perspective, just let women know like this is we're amazing and we can do this. And so I think that's my thing is women in general, like women. We do so much.

We give up so much to take care of our families and take care of everybody around us that we forget to take care of ourselves sometimes. And, but we help everything run. We help our husbands be successful. We help our children be successful.

And we don't get the recognition a lot of times. And it's not that we want recognition, but I think we need to remember how much we're actually contributing and how important we are and how we change society. Yes, I agree. And I think too, the other piece that's super important that we kind of lose sight of is that, you know, the name of the podcast is Wealth Builders.

Like not only do we contribute on the domestic side, like with our families and with our children, there's also a wealth contribution that we can make as women that we often like don't remember. Like we don't think about the fact that we're able to do that, to make a significant contribution, not only on the domestic side, but also on the side when it comes to building wealth for ourselves, for our families, for generational wealth. And so we have the power to do that. So we can take all of those skills that we use at home, all of the skills that we use at work, like in our careers, if we have a W-2 career, and we can funnel that into a thriving, growing business if somebody would just like teach us how to do it For me that kind of the thinking is putting it all all together Exactly I think that amazing I made it so that we could be financially free and we could just live off of our properties that we have.

We could stop now and just retire if we wanted to, and we could just move forward with life. And it just creates this sense of accomplishment and this sense of security that is just, you just can't get anywhere else. It's just amazing. Yeah.

I was also the impetus to get us started with real estate investing with me and my husband as well. So my husband is a strong W-2 believer. We need a steady, stable paycheck coming in here. And here I come with these multiple income streams.

We need to have more money coming in and actually building a business from that. And so I think a lot can be done. We can work in concert with our partners, our spouse, or our significant others, we can work together with them to build something fantastic. Or if we're single, like if we're on our own, and we're in that place in our lives where we don't have a significant other, we can still build like a really strong financial future for ourselves and for our business.

So that's totally doable. So we have a second question, Kami, that we need to answer. So as far as our audience is concerned, We've described our listener. Our listener is, you know, women and those who identify as women who are wanting to have a significant financial impact for themselves or for their family, for their future.

That's kind of who we're speaking to. And they can do that with real estate investing. They can do it as an entrepreneur. What are their pain points?

Like, what do you think are some of the problems that these women may run into? And like, what kinds of solutions can we offer with the podcast? I mean, we are only as successful as the people around us for real. I think lately, like just the culture wise, we think we have to have do everything individually and we need to take care of everything on our own.

But really, no, we thrive. We thrive when we get with a community and a tribe and a group of people that can help us succeed. And hopefully we can bring that through this and just show other powerful women who have pushed past the challenges of life and still been successful. Yes.

You know what I think is so phenomenal about the ability of doing a podcast or having, we also have a YouTube channel with this, is that we can build a wealth builders community of women who help each other, who pass along information, who teach one another about building a strong business, whether it's real estate investing or just entrepreneurship in general. it's so phenomenal to be able to be part of a community that helps you to know that you can do it like you can totally do this being financially free having financial freedom is absolutely doable it's not a one-stop shop it's not like a one-shot thing it's not overnight we're not saying that at all there is blood sweat tears you know time away from kids sometimes time away from your fur babies if you don't have kids.

But yeah, there is a generous amount of work that needs to be done, but you can absolutely be financially free and not have to like punch into a W-2 job every day. You can even be free from your business that you own. Like if you build a business the right way, some of the conversations that we're having on this podcast are talking about like, how can I get passive income from a business that I own where I'm not the person doing all the things every day? So you can even be free from your own business if you do it right But those are some of the pain points that we want to help women kind of get past And we going to use this podcast to do that Okay So next question is, and actually this is the last question.

Kami, what makes us qualified to be able to teach women how to do this on this podcast? Right. I think it's because we have both done it in our own lives. We have that experience where we created financial freedom for ourselves.

I think if I talk about you and you talk about me, it'll make it easier because we are like these women who you and I are both guilty of imposter syndrome. And I think that it affects a lot of, I don't know if men have it or not, but I know it's huge for women where you feel like your accomplishments are not sufficient. Like you're not enough or you haven't accomplished enough to be able to be worthy of being paid for something. Or you feel like you haven't accomplished enough to be able to like tout like what you've done.

But I want to tell the audience about Camille Davis and all the things that I've seen you do. So Camille Davis is a mother of four children and she's a wife. She's a business builder. She's a real estate developer.

Cammie has how many, 12 LLCs? How many businesses do you have? I know, yes, it's at least 12. Yes.

Yeah. So this is what I know about you. You took you and your husband from both having W-2 jobs in the healthcare industry to now running a business where you do have the financial freedom. You own at least 40 homes at this point that you got doing subject to, which is a niche of real estate that is so hard to do now, but it is still totally doable and you're still finding properties that way.

Over the course of your career, you've had over 250 homes that you've dealt with. some of those you kept, some of those you gave to another lawyer, or you just weren't able to save those families. You are a lover of women. You're a lover of people.

You're a fixer. Like you try to fix every situation and find a solution that is a win-win for them and for you. And you are a real estate developer, which I mentioned before, but now you're actually building like fourplexes near the University of Houston. And I think you got another plot of land that you're building on.

You got something else going? Yeah. So I've got three lots total. So it will be three different fourplexes.

All right. So I'm not done with you, Cammie. So you own a construction company that you and your husband started. And so now you're taking on construction projects, not just for yourself, but for other people as well.

And you are a huge giver of your time. And you lead a group called the Women's Wealth Collective here in Houston, where women are able to join up with you and to learn so much from you about all of the things that you are doing and how they can learn how to do it too. So I think I covered like 90% of the things that you're doing. There's probably like 10%.

I think that sounds great. That's awesome. Yeah. Now I don't, I can follow that very well.

That's Camille Davis. Wow. So, so Renee Williams, she is, man, when she walked into the room when I first met her, I just knew this was a lady that was powerhouse women. Plus I watched her go and start a syndication.

I mean, she was out there doing all the things. So I see Renee Williams as an amazing example for women. And she is a mother of two. They're both in college right now coming from the corporate world and really has an eye of how to help people structure their businesses and how to organize and delegate and has an amazing vision and talent to create systems and processes and run your life, your business as a business, really.

And also has this amazing talent to interview people. This podcast, this is all because of her. an amazing way of helping people just feel natural in front of a camera and ask them the right questions. And that's a talent.

I love it. So I think that with the both of us having the talents and skills that we have, you for having done so much in real estate investing, me for having helped people build businesses and doing some real estate investing and syndications myself, I think that we are uniquely qualified to be able to help other women along in their journey. And that's the goal, or that's what we're trying to do with this podcast. We want to provide as much free information as we possibly can to actually give women the courage to do what they need to do to get on the road to financial freedom.

And we want to celebrate that with them. And so that's really the idea behind the podcast is just, we had a vision of helping women do that. And so with that, I think that's pretty much what we wanted to make sure that we covered. The idea here is that we are women helping women to achieve financial freedom.

And once we achieve the financial freedom, then we want to leave a map so that we can teach other women how we got there or how they can get there. At the end of the day, that's really what this podcast is all about. Before we go, I want to talk about this real quick. So we have recorded several episodes already.

And I just wanted to know, I'm putting you on the spot, Cammie. I know we didn't discuss that we were going to talk about this, but are you able to tell me any of the episodes that we've recorded so far that kind of stick out in your mind? Is there any one in particular that sticks out for you and why? You know, it's interesting how a lot of these successful women that we've interviewed have very similar topics that we point on.

So find that gift that you're really good at and do that and have other people. Again, we need that group and we need that community because the other people that have those gifts that you don't have, bring them together and have everybody work in this synergistic way. It seemed like that was a very common thing that came up with each of the women, but all of the women, I'm so excited for you all to listen to. They're amazing.

They're empowering. and we just hope that we can change somebody's life out there that they can come and just enjoy and leave better, leave better and leave more motivated and leave with a roadmap, like you said. Absolutely. And with that, we're gonna go ladies.
