Chairman of the Board of Lapland Vuollerim tourism company Evalena Skalstad shares how Lapland Vuollerim circular economy principles and smart villages are proving to be a successful way to restart tourism. A bout Lapland Vuollerim: The village Company Lapland Vuollerim has about 800 inhabitants, 60 companies, 30 non-profit associations, and 7 crowd-based businesses for the common good in Vuollerim. The village of Vuollerim is a picturesque village set amidst vast forests, rivers, and lakes in the sparsely populated Arctic region of Lapland, Sweden. Their vision is to contribute to making Vuollerim one of Northern Europe’s most interesting areas, reinvesting 100 % of their profits into further growth of the company and into the local economy. Evalena Skalstad is the Chairman of the Board of Lapland Vuollerim with 30 years of experience in sustainable strategies & sustainable business models. She has been a speaker at SOCAP 2010, SOCAP Europe 2011, SOCAP Future 2012, Crowdsourcing Week 2015-2018, and other national and international events.
