Five dimensions, 20 points each
Allison Maslan shares the decision-making framework and mindset practices that transformed her life across business, relationships, and health. Natalie Jill interviews her about overcoming a $3-to-riches journey, the power of deciding success with no backup plan, and how accountability replaces blame in every area of life. The conversation covers Allison's philosophy that age is a state of mind (she trapeze in her 60s), her vision crafting morning routine that combines gratitude, visualization, and intention-setting, and her radical responsibility leadership approach. Rather than letting external circumstances or inherited limiting beliefs dictate outcomes, Allison emphasizes energy management, neurological visualization, and choosing to see possibility instead of obstacles. The discussion applies directly to business owners struggling with employee performance, launches that underperform, or personal-professional integration - showing how internal mindset shifts create tangible external results.
She made a definitive decision to pursue her passion (becoming a homeopathic physician, then building businesses) despite everyone calling her nuts, practiced radical responsibility for outcomes, and stayed persistent by talking to people and asking for introductions rather than waiting for a clear path.
Vision crafting is a morning routine combining gratitude (written as if future outcomes already happened), visualization (closing eyes and feeling yourself in the desired state), and intention-setting across all life areas - it raises vibration and primes the brain into a meditative state without requiring silent meditation.
She maintains a mindset that age is a state of mind rather than a fixed number, visualizes herself at 35 during her morning routine to trigger cellular response, deliberately creates an active lifestyle (walking up many steps, flying trapeze) to keep her body engaged, and prioritizes stress reduction through movement and nature.
Radical responsibility means owning every outcome - if an employee underperforms, you chose to hire them and didn't train or manage them properly; if a launch fails, you created the conditions. This shifts power back to you versus staying victim to others' actions, and it creates respect and positive culture.
Allison recognizes that anxious thoughts and limiting beliefs often come from inherited generational patterns you didn't consciously choose, so she actively talks to her brain to redirect it, practices shifting quickly through vision crafting, and chooses to focus her energy on what she can control rather than world circumstances.
Our reviewer’s read on each dimension, with quotes from the episode.
The episode contains some genuinely useful frameworks - vision crafting, radical responsibility, glimpses as evidence of manifestation - but heavily relies on repetition and motivational throat-clearing. The core insights (decide success will happen, take responsibility, do vision crafting daily) are valuable but thin; much airtime goes to personal anecdotes and validation rather than novel operational concepts for B2B leaders. A founder or executive would extract 2-3 actionable ideas rather than 8-10.
I just decide that it's going to be successful. Like, there is no other option. I don't allow my mind to go to what if?
Vision crafting is gratitude as if it's already happened, then visualize, then write intentions in every area of life, then visualize again and write glimpses
Vision crafting is a repackaged blend of gratitude journaling, visualization, and intention-setting - all well-documented in mainstream self-help and business literature (Robbins, Murphy, similar practitioners). The framing of 'glimpses' as evidence is a minor twist, but the underlying psychology is orthodox. Radical responsibility is sound but not novel (Jocko Willink, others have hammered this). No contrarian arguments or first-principles thinking that would surprise an informed operator.
Write down how I would feel living in our own dream home, writing gratitude as if it's already happened to put yourself mentally and vibrationally into the place that it is happening now
If I look at this way and go here, there is absolutely nothing blocking me here... I can go infinite. There absolutely is no limit.
Allison Maslan has built multiple businesses (10th business claim) and runs Pinnacle Global Network coaching CEOs and founders globally. She has demonstrable scale and real operating experience, which is solid. However, the episode is less a guest interview and more a best-friend validation chat between two podcast hosts; Natalie largely affirms rather than interrogates, weakening the value. Maslan is legitimate but not exceptionally rare or high-profile in B2B circles compared to operators of Fortune 500 scale.
I've had several companies actually till I'm in the one that I'm in now, which is my 10th business.
We mentor CEOs all over the world
The episode is starved of hard data, metrics, and concrete case studies. References to 'thousands of business owners,' the Mexico property rental model (rooms rented per week in profit), and personal anecdotes (the beach humiliation, $3 in purse) provide some texture, but no P&L, no revenue figures, no case studies of clients, no timelines on how long manifestations took. The property expansion is the closest to a specific example, but even that lacks numbers on rental income or property cost.
If we rent out each room and we have this many weeks in the year to rent it, then we will actually be in profit
I remember a time where I literally had like $3 in my purse
Natalie asks some good structural questions (vision expansion, mourning timelines, phone discipline) and does follow up on vision crafting mechanics. However, she rarely pushes back or test Maslan's claims. Most questions end in agreement, affirmation, or setup for the next anecdote rather than genuine inquiry. No one challenges whether visualization + journaling alone scales a business, or asks for failure examples beyond the anecdote about the beach. The conversation reads as friendly validation rather than rigorous exploration.
But if I'm hearing you correctly, that's really the key. With anything in your life, yes, you are going to manifest what you expect.
So it's interesting that you just said that.

Natalie Jill interviews Allison Maslan about the decision that changed everything in her life and business. In this conversation on Natalie Jill's podcast, Allison shares the mindset shift that took her from being a single mom with almost nothing to building multiple successful companies and mentoring thousands of business owners around the world. At one point in her life, Allison had just $3 in her purse and no clear path forward. But she made a powerful decision: success was not optional. Not the perfect strategy. Not the perfect timing. A decision. In this episode, Natalie and Allison discuss: • The decision that separates successful entrepreneurs from everyone else • Why successful leaders decide first and figure it out later • The power of radical responsibility in business and life • How mindset directly impacts business growth • Why the way you run your business reflects how you run your life They also explore Allison's vision crafting process, the role mindset plays in scaling companies, and how leaders can shift out of fear and into possibility. For founders and entrepreneurs, success isn't just about strategy.

Well, I was a single mom for 12 years, and I started out with absolutely nothing. I mean, I remember a time where I literally had like $3 in my purse, it was really a scary place. everybody thought I was absolutely nuts. My family, my mom, my of course, my ex-husband.
Everybody was like, Alison, who do you think you are? Go get a job. I remember I was sitting on the beach in San Diego, and I had been dating this guy, and I thought we were in a relationship. then his friend walks by and proceeds to tell me that this guy that I was dating was actually having a party that night, and I wasn't invited.
And so I'm sitting there on the beach, completely humiliated, thinking, this is your boyfriend. Yeah. And I go, you know, I just shut down, I go inward. And I had this moment.
It was like I was sitting there. I was staring at myself, going. You chose to be in this situation. You are not a victim to the situation.
You can choose otherwise. the biggest secret to success is that I just decide that it's going to be successful. Like, there is no other option. I don't allow my mind to go to what if?
Oh my God, this isn't going to work. I just decide it's going to be successful and then I figure it out. if you create something and you lose it all tomorrow, you created that so you can create it again. You're not.
It's not because of what somebody else did. I would just do the exact same thing I'm doing now. How you do anything is how you do everything. And I truly believe how you scale your business.
Those principles can actually apply to every single area of your life, because you don't want to just be in successful in business and miserable everywhere else. And people always ask me, Allison, how do you create abundance? How are you manifest this place in Mexico? Have a dream home in San Diego, a 20 year relationship.
Well, there's been a journey to get here. And my dear friend Natalie Jail just interviewed me on her podcast, and she dove in the way Natalie does to ask me specifically how we created this. And I think that you will really love the conversation and learn a lot that you can apply to your life in your business right now to create that abundance. So on this episode of The Scarlet Method podcast, we're going to talk about scaling your business, but also scaling your life.
Join us now. Now, I've had her on the show before, where we've talked a lot about how she has manifested things, how she's created, how she's built an incredible empire that helps other business owners scale. But what I've learned, and, you know, this, is that if you can really get into the brains of people living the life that you want, and you can start applying those habits, you can truly change yours. Now, I'm lucky because Allison happens to be one of my best friends, and I love to spend time around her.
But I also started to ask myself, what would Allison do? A lot of times, and it's helped me be able to switch my mindset anytime I'm going into negative thought patterns into possibility. Now, if you are somebody that is committed to working on living and possibility, definitely lean into this conversation because we've got some great stories to share and some actual practices you can put into place right now, today that can change your whole life. So we're here in New Mexico, which, Allison, I want to start with that because can you just even start with the story of how you ended up having this house, because this was something you never even could have imagined a decade ago?
Absolutely. Well, first of all, I'm excited to be here. This is fun, and I always love having you here. And we are based in San Diego, as you know.
And my husband and I got engaged here in New Mexico 21 years ago. And we just fell in love with it. And we kept coming back. And especially during the pandemic, we were coming more often.
And I had this thought and the thought was, why don't we just get a place here? But like anybody, I started to get some doubts creeping in, like, what? Are you going to get a home in another country? What are you thinking?
You don't even know how to do that. And how are you going to make that happen? And so we kind of put it aside, my husband and I. And then I was driving one day and I just had this download and it was, what are you waiting for until you're 70 to your 80 till it's too late to even enjoy it.
So you don't know how to do it. Doesn't matter. Just figure it out. Put the vision there and then it will unfold.
So when people hear that and this is a common pattern, what a lot of people will lean in and say is but but I can't, but I can. And list out all the reasons whether it's financial, whether it's time, whether it's a spouse. We go to this why I can't why does that not happen with you? Because I know the pain of regret.
Explain that. Because that thought of. Well, then I'm going to. If I wait, then it's going to be too late.
And that to me is more painful than fear to be in a place of why? Why didn't I do it? Why? Why was I to afraid so?
I just feel like you never want to allow fear to be the thing that holds you back from what you want to go after. No, I want to share because I know listeners might say, well, that's easy for you to say. You've got a successful business, you've got the assets or whatever it is, but I have known you long enough to know that that's not always been the case, and that even in times where there has been struggle or lack, you were able to shift to possibility. So if you could help, I want to go back a little bit.
Maybe go back to a time before you even had the current business that you have when you were kind of in a, in a, in a not so amazing space. Yeah. How you operate it from that for sure. Well, I was a single mom for 12 years, and I started out with absolutely nothing.
I mean, I remember a time where I literally had like $3 in my purse, and this was when I was going through a divorce and trying to figure out, you know, what was going to be my 2.0. And it was really a scary place. But I had a dream.
And at that time it was becoming a homeopathic physician. I'd been in the advertising world and decided I wanted to move on from that, and I had gone through some really stressful times and just feeling the weight of life on me, and I thought, okay, I want to take back my life. And so everybody thought I was absolutely nuts. My family, my mom, my of course, my ex-husband.
Everybody was like, Alison, who do you think you are? Go get a job. And for me, I feel like if I can't follow my passion, then it's like worse than, like, death to me, you know? It's like not living.
Yeah. And so even though I didn't know how it was going to happen, I just stayed in the energy of persistence. I'm just going to keep walking forward. I don't know the answers.
I don't know how to do this, but I'm going to talk to people. I'm going to ask people to introduce me to someone that knows something, that knows something. And it began to unfold. And so so then, you know, I started to create more abundance, was able to have a nice life for my daughter and I.
And then, you know, as so I had built several companies actually till I'm in the one that I'm in now, which is my 10th business. But every single time have anyone's been a business owner. There's a lot of peaks and valleys and peaks and valleys, and it's easy to Natalie to say, this is just too hard. I'm going to quit.
But I think that the the probably the biggest secret to success besides the quantum physics stuff we'll talk about, is that I just decide that it's going to be successful. Like, there is no other option. I don't allow my mind to go to what if? Oh my God, this isn't going to work.
I just decide it's going to be successful and then I figure it out. You know, in Fat Lawson, many of my listeners have been through my fat loss programs. I always start with deciding. I always say, what is it that your actual decision is?
Because I believe when you know that definitive decision, failure is not an option. So it's interesting that you just said that. But if I'm hearing you correctly, that's really the key. With anything in your life, yes, you are going to manifest what you expect.
And if you expect that it's going to be successful and you keep saying that, then it will be. It may not turn out the way you actually have the picture in your mind, but what if it actually turned out even better? And if you allow yourself to stay stuck in the doubts and the fear, you're just shooting yourself in the foot. I think people tend to stay stuck in the doubts and fear, as you mentioned, because they have, and they look for evidence of why that opposite is true.
Yeah, we keep telling ourselves nothing's really going to work out for me because of what happened in the past. And believe me, I've had all kinds of things that have happened in my past. And when I was younger, I felt that I was the victim to those things. But what I realized is, I'll tell you a moment where it shifted for me.
I had been in a string of relationships that were just not going well, and I remember I was sitting on the beach in San Diego, and I had been dating this guy, and I thought we were in a relationship. And then his friend walks by and proceeds to tell me that they were having this guy that I was dating was actually having a party that night, and I wasn't invited. And so I'm sitting there on the beach, completely humiliated, humiliated, thinking, this is your boyfriend. Yeah.
And I go, you know, I just shut down, I go inward. And I had this moment. It was like I was sitting there. I was staring at myself, going.
You chose to be in this situation. You are not a victim to the situation. You chose to be here. You choose to be sitting here in this humiliating situation.
You can choose otherwise. So when you say that what I'm hearing is accountability versus blame and so full responsibility in every area of your life, in your personal life, your relationships, your business, your health, everything. And I think sometimes we feel like when we do that, we're letting other people off the hook. But the truth is that you're setting yourself free.
Why do people find comfort in blame? Because it feels like a weight. To have to take responsibility means that we have to choose differently. We have to actually own our actions.
You know, it seems easier to blame others, but actually it's not, because then you're always the victim of how other people are doing or not doing. You're always going. Your mood, your joy will always be dependent on how others are operating in the world. And that's exhausting.
So. So let me ask you this because I'm going to and without saying, I don't want to get into like specific beliefs on politics, but I'm going to just say politics for a minute. Let's just say somebody is super in that mindset of because of the government or politics or this group, or even not politics, this my boss or whatever, they're they're stuck in this. And that's their belief as to why their life is not working.
What do you want them to know? Well, look, in situations that are happening in the world, believe me, I mean, I'm affected. I'm a human being. I have I feel things, but I also know that feeling of powerlessness.
And so in situations where I feel like that, there's nothing really tangible that I can do. What I do is try to elevate my energy, elevate my frequency. If you have it, as we are all energy, and I just continue to focus on putting out good energy into the world, because if I can make a difference by elevating people around me, maybe that's going to make a difference in the work that we do with business owners. We we support thousands of business owners all over the world.
All different beliefs, backgrounds, history, politics, and but we all share a common bond of making a difference in the world with the gifts that we were born with through business, that we can change the world. And so I feel like if I really focus on what I do best in helping people to elevate into the highest version of themselves and bring this community together, then we can make this world a better place. If I go down the rabbit hole of, you know, the world is falling apart, I'm absolutely no help to anyone.
So this is I want to talk about business for a minute, and I want to go back to sort of personal life in business. You'll hear whether somebody is at us, a business owner, an entrepreneur or works in a business, they will blame external factors on why something is not working. And that's very real life. And I'm assuming in your business employees, other people might even bring that to you.
Yeah. How do you stay above that? How do you not let that affect? Well, I used to in my earlier days.
I work on the mindset that I have. Like, I just like, you go to the gym, I work on it. But in the early days, I did let things stress me out. If a launch wasn't going well, if a an employee wasn't doing what they were doing, and I found myself feeling like a ping pong ball because you are bouncing around from from how others are acting.
But in my maturity and my growth as a leader, because you have to constantly work on yourself. I always say, if you want to grow your business by 40%, you personally have to grow by 60%. Well carry that 40%. And so what I say is, as a business owner, if you're running a business or you're doing a nonprofit or you volunteer whatever, everything that's happening in that is your responsibility.
If you are the leader, it is totally on your shoulders. If if I have an employee that is not following through or not meeting their their goals, I chose to bring that person on my team and I or I didn't give them enough training or whatever it is, or I didn't make the decision to allow them to move on to what's a better fit for them. So it's radical responsibility. Radical responsibility, radical freedom.
And I think that what it does is it creates more respect from other people around you, too. I mean, if I'm going around blaming other people, I. It creates a real negative energy because they start doing that too. I mean, if you're a parent and you're always negative, your kids are going to be bouncing off of you and they're going to be negative.
So Allison, even though she hates me bringing up her age, I she's in her I do it all the time just to nudge because friends do all the freaking time. She's in her early 60s and she looks phenomenal. If you're watching on video, but not just how she looks, but how she is, she actually flies trapeze. She's a trapeze in her backyard in San Diego.
She taught. She learned trapeze in her 30s, early 30s. Right. Learned she's still trapezoid.
She still learning tricks. She's always up leveling her fitness. She has never once ever said to me, I'm too old or I can't. She has constantly looked at possibility.
How have you done that? Because age is real and you've got doctors and media and everyone telling us that all of you stayed there. Yeah, I personally have a different philosophy. I believe age is a state of mind.
And so, I mean, you could look inside of someone's body, two people together that are 60, and you're going to see a very different state, and you see people that are have a ton of Italian at, at my age and, and those that are just dragging along. And I think it has a lot to do with your mindset and your energy. And I also feel like ages, just a number. And I really I look more at internally how I'm connecting with life.
And to me, I just feel like I'm just getting started. So I salmon live to 123. I know that sounds absolutely crazy. And you know, we obviously don't always have control over those things.
But the way that I look at it, okay, I'm just, you know, I still have a whole other life left. And so in the morning when I wake up and I do my vision crafting, which we're going to talk a little bit about that, that's a morning routine that I do that has been life changing for me. I always say it feels so good to be 35. It feels so good to be 35.
And it's not because I don't embrace where I am in my life. I love where in my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. And I have no problem aging gracefully. But I remember what I felt like in my body at 35.
And so I just my, you know, your brain, when you visualize something, your brain doesn't know the difference whether it is happening now or it is in your imagination. The exact same brain waves fire. And there have been all kinds of neurological studies that when you talk positively to your body, immediately your cells respond. There are changes in your blood.
And so at an anatomic level, if I say that and I visualize myself at 35, I'm giving myself the best vitamin I could possibly give myself in that moment. It's like my body goes, oh yeah, I'm there. And so I, you know, when I'm 90, I want to feel youthful. I don't have to say, you know, I'm not trying to be in my 20s, but I want to feel youthful.
I want to still be flying on the trapeze, because if I'm going to live a long life, I want to be able to enjoy every moment of it. So what's wild? As I'm here at her house in Mexico, which I continue to invite myself to by the way she does, her husband had once said, come any time. And I took that very seriously.
There at this house there is a ginormous house, by the way, that they have created that they can rent out to people. Like it's actually become another income source, and it has these tremendous amount of steps that you have to walk up and down to get anywhere. They don't drive here. It's all walking.
The reason I'm bringing that up is when I hear most people 5060. Beyond creating a next level home environment, I hear downsize, I hear smaller, I hear no steps. Why did you do the opposite? And how does that fit into what you teach and how you live by?
I think a lot of people feel have this picture in your mind that when you get older, that means you're going to have more aches and pains, that you're going to have more disabilities. You're already telling your brain, neurologically and physically, that your body is going to start degrading. You've already made that decision and I've just made the decision. Otherwise, if I'm going to stay active and continue to walk up these steps, then you know my body is going to keep exercising, staying strong.
And we know that as far as all the latest research that has come out, I mean, there's nothing better than weight training and exercise. And also, I just love the fact being here. We walk everywhere, we don't drive, life slows down. And the other piece of it, stress is a killer.
It will. It is the thing that will take you out. And so the more that I can be outside slowing down, moving my body, the healthier I'm going to be. When you first invited me here, when I was here for the first time, and I saw all the steps, I remember you made a comment that you intentionally wanted the steps because it will force you to always stay active.
And that stood out to me because just as you answered, usually we go into the the belief set that that's not going to be the case. And so we try to counter that right away. I like to stop out ahead. Yeah.
And believe me, sometimes at the bottom of us is like, oh my God, it's great because we'll go have a nice dinner and then you got to walk it off. You know, you're not just going right to bed, but I just feel like, look, energy is everything. And if you have a dream, you have a passion, you have a business. You have more time that you want with your kids.
If you don't have energy, you're not going to be motivated. You're going to allow fear or low self-esteem to creep in and so forth. And so whatever you can do to continually up that energy, I think, is critical. What is your process when fear or negativity does enter in and you do catch yourself spinning in the oh my gosh, this is doomsday or this went wrong.
Do you have a process that takes you out of that? I do, and it's a process that I call vision crafting. And I can break that down. But I just want to say, the more that you work on yourself, the more you work on your mindset.
It doesn't mean that you're not going to have moments of fear because we're wired. That's our brain is wired for fight or flight. That's what has kept us, you know, kept the human race going. However, I have practiced it so much that I flip so quickly.
So even if it creeps in now, I'm able to shift and go, no, I'm not going to go there. And I will literally have a talk with my brain to say, no, we're not going to go there and we're going to shift because the thoughts that come in, oftentimes you didn't put those thoughts there. You have inherited those thoughts. You've inherited anxiety beliefs from people in some cases that you never even met from generations before.
So why am I going to own that right? And so I can talk a little bit about the vision crafting. Yeah, let's talk about vision crafting. And then I'm going to ask, then I want to ask you some real life questions that we get.
And I want because I want because I tend to call Allison a lot with this is a situation, how would you handle it? And I want you to experience that. So I want to go to those next. But yeah walk us through the vision crafting.
Yeah. So for years I have done some form of journaling, visualization, listening to positive things on YouTube, uplifting music. And I would find that when I would do that, when I had time, like on vacation, that that things started shifting for me, I would feel better, I would start attracting more exciting things into my life. And so I was.
Several years ago, I was on vacation. I thought, you know what, I'm just going to keep this going. I'm not going to do it occasionally. And I said, I'm just going to experiment with this.
And so I started putting together a process that I call vision crafting. And the reason that I love this is because I always wanted to meditate and I struggled with it. I am Abdi, like you and sitting still. I always felt like I'm wasting my time, like I should be creating something.
My husband, on the other hand, can drop into a meditation for an hour like it's nothing. And I would just be, you know, wiggling and all of that. So I've created this state, this process to help prime my brain, to get me into that meditative state. And so what it is, is that and, you know, we're I would be happy to give, you know, we can talk about that so that you will be able to like a process and how you get the process of the show notes.
Yeah, exactly. But basically I start with gratitude because gratitude is the fastest shifter. It will move you out of fear or grief or anger so quickly. And gratitude starts to raise up our energy, raise up our vibration, and remember, we are energy.
It's we are molecules and atoms and it's condensed. And that's why you see this matter. And so when you shift to gratitude, all of a sudden our energy starts to raise up. Then I write down in my journal what I'm grateful for as if it's already happened.
So let's say I wanted to manifest this place here in Diwata now. And this is exactly what I did. I wrote down how I would feel living in our own dream home in Zihuatanejo, what it would feel like to wake up in the morning being here and to be able to run my business from here. And so writing down gratitude as if it's already happened.
You put yourself mentally and vibrationally into the place that it is happening now. Then I start to, I close my eyes and I visualize that I see myself there. I begin to feel it. That raises my vibration.
Then I write down my intentions in every single area of my life. So wait, hang on. Before you get more into intentions on the gratitude part, the distinction I'm hearing is it's not just what I'm grateful for now. So my bed, my husband, whatever you're saying, you're also thinking of the future, what you would like to see, and you're being thankful for that before it even came.
So like us being here right now in this beautiful place before we were here. Yeah, we're to rewind a couple of years. You were envisioning this? Yes, I would visualize.
Wow, I can really see myself doing a podcast here. How incredible that would be. But I start out with what I'm grateful for, what I really see, like my dog and all that because it's easier for you to get there. Now I'm in a feeling good place.
I'm not focused on what didn't work yesterday or what I'm overwhelmed with for the rest of the day. Then I shift from gratitude as if it's already happened. I'm grateful for things that that I want to have come into my life. And I get myself there because remember, like I said, the brain doesn't know the difference, right?
So and then I visualize it, I feel it. That's going to start raising your your vibration, your energy level up here. Then I write down in every area of my life all the things that I plan to that I expect will happen in my life. Yes, the intentions and this is in personal fun relationship, business, leadership, finances, spiritual.
And even though I did it yesterday, I do it again. And I just it reminds me, oh yeah, because we forget, you know, the world, all different things happening it. We forget who we are and what we're meant here to do. So I remind myself of that every day.
Then I close my eyes. I put on my favorite playlist, my vision crafting playlist. I visualize myself in the middle of all of these things happening that I just wrote down, and I get to a point where I'm just excited. I feel this exhilaration because I feel it as if it's truly happening.
And then I write down what I call glimpses. Glimpses are evidence because it's not just when you. It's not just, okay, Natalie and I are doing the podcast now. It's not just the manifestation, it's the fun stuff leading up to it.
It's the unfolding. Like if you're going to renovate a house, for instance, and you have this idea to renovate, it's actually fun, I think, to pick out the paints and the flooring and to see it unfold so that that is the those are the glimpses that you write down. Oh, I met this person. Oh, we hired this wonderful new CEO.
Oh, like the proof that it's working it proof. So you can tell your brain yes it's it may maybe it's not fully manifested yet, but it is happening and actually enjoy the unfolding of it. So for example, you somebody listening is thinking, I would love to have a home and a tropical place and they're going through this process what that would be like. And then next thing you know, their friend or their husband invites them on a trip to a tropical place.
You would take that as a glimpse like, oh, it's moving about 1,000%. And I will tell you when you've clear up your mind and you get away from your computer and your phone and you get yourself into this state, ideas will come to you. Like I remembered that one of the mentors on our team actually has a home in takahe, and I reached out to her to say, how did how did you do it? She then referred me to an attorney who helped us to, you know, put some things into place.
We started asking other people to find a realtor. I mean, it's just, you know, you may not have the answers, but if you open yourself up, you'll start to you'll start to get the inklings of clues to, you know, and the impulses, the healthy impulses that you can start taking action on those things. So what's wild about this property, for example, is I know that your vision wasn't a big property that you would rent out or host things out. It was actually a small condo.
You had a very different vision in the beginning and your vision expanded. How does a vision go from that to expansion? Well, I believe that. I truly believe things happen for a reason.
And so just I think this will illustrate the story. We were going to get a smaller condo, just a place my husband and I could enjoy. And then we were looking around and we just hadn't found it yet. We knew kind of the area we wanted to be.
We knew we wanted it to be walking distance from the things that we do. And so the hotel we used to stay at, they said to us, have you seen the seven bedroom villa that the owner has for rent? And I looked at my husband and I go, oh, we're in trouble, we're in trouble. And so we went, it wasn't this place.
We it was, you know, across the way. And we were like, oh my gosh, this is, this is a beautiful. And then my husband, he is like Rain Man with numbers. He was like, well, if we rent out each room and we have this many weeks in the year to rent it, then we will actually be in profit to be able to do it.
So we hadn't thought about doing something like that where we weren't able to actually get that place, but that started us now think, oh well, differently. So then we started looking at other properties, but had that not even and then we wouldn't have thought it that way. That was that was a perfect lens. And I'm so grateful for okay.
If you were to this is kind of going to be a strange question. I want to take you if you were to not have everything you have right now. So let's just say this is not going to happen. I don't even want to put this in the vision.
But for the point of the question, I have to, you don't have the house here in now. You don't have the house in San Diego. You don't have your business. So things are gone right now.
You have you and your husband. That's it right now. And you're sad right now for a day like it's happening. You're like, I don't have any sings anymore.
You're back in that condo that didn't have a window in your bedroom. You're there knowing what you know now, how would you keep yourself accountable to recreating? Well, first of all, I would say that the things I'm most, most, most, most grateful for are my health, my relationship with my husband, my daughter, my friends. To me, those are the most valuable things.
So like I said, I would just first of all, if you create something and you lose it all tomorrow, you created that so you can create it again. You're not. It's not because of what somebody else did. And so I would just do the exact same thing I'm doing now.
I would get into a place of gratitude. I would start doing my vision crafting every single day. And I believe in the power of relationships. How long would you let yourself mourn the loss?
Because I'm asking that because there's many listeners mourning a loss for too long right now. I mean, I think that you don't want to suppress, you know, and I and I'm not saying be Pollyanna and just pretend like everything's okay because that's, you know, I don't know that that's super healthy either. I think we need to allow ourselves a moment to grieve, because it's going to come out in other places that are if you're suppressing it, you know, if you have a hose and there's water going out of it and you tie a knot at it, not in it, it's going to explode in another area.
Sure. So do the inner Work journal. If you're going through a grief, get counseling. I think that grief is a normal part of our life, so allow yourself to do that.
But then you don't want to dwell. You don't want to plug in like, okay, so that's the past. We're in a totally different moment now. In fact, the past really doesn't mean anything at this point.
Now you have an the way I look at it is, wow, I could I could create something totally different and that would be exciting to me. So you would instead of saying, wow, how you would have a plan A morning, how did I lose all that or what happened there? But then you would go back into recreation mode, not trying to convey the same thing, but what else could I create? Or how can I create and learn from what happened as well?
Because, you know, you're either going to be in a state of alignment where you're really connected to what's happening in your you're manifesting, or you're going to be in a state of friction. And so friction is when you are, you know, plugged in to some negativity or something, you know, the bottom fell out, that there was really nothing you could do about it. And I take that to say, okay, what was my part in it? What could I have done differently?
Where was my gut instinct that I didn't listen? Because usually we do have an inkling that something's happening, right? I mean, they even show that people are out in the ocean and they can sense there's shark there, like, and we didn't listen. So I try to really glean some knowledge from that.
And then I look I also embrace the friction because usually something even better comes from that, because it forces us to dive in and get creative for a new solution, that when things are always going great, we're just coasting along and we don't learn anything new. Humans tend to want to. And I say this because I talk to lots of humans in my world, lots of midlife women that want to grab their phone first thing in the morning and start swollen, pick up social media, start looking at emails, start looking at texts.
And when we do that, we know on some deeper level that that's putting us not in the greatest spaces, not in a creation space, because it's a it's a gamble of are you going to get positive things, you're going to get work you have to do. Is it going to be negative stuff? What do you think about that and how do you control that? Because I know you look at your phone sometimes you how do you intentionally make sure you stay in this different morning space and not get sucked in by that?
Yeah, well, the phone can be a total addiction. Let's be honest. And, you know, I'm tied to my phone a lot of the times where business things are happening all the time and it just becomes a habit. And so I would say there's a couple of strategies that I do.
First of all, the best, best scenario is that your phone is plugged in somewhere else in the room and that you do this vision crafting right when you wake up. And the reason you want to do it then, is because you're still in this place of half awake and half asleep. And that's the best time to tap into that meditative state. And so.
You know, once you start looking at your phone, you're dealing you are now somewhat your mood is going to be dependent on what somebody decided to email you at two in the morning or something didn't go through. And already you're focused on that. And it's harder to get into that big, bigger picture place. Now, if you have something that you absolutely need to take care of, do it, get it done, and then get into that space.
One of the things that I do, and this is a strategy from Steve Jobs, is that he would write, put a line in the middle of a piece of paper and would write things on the left that he would that were super important, that really needed to happen. And things in the right that were just noise, he would call it signal and noise. And so in my journal, if I have something download because it does like, oh, remember to call so-and-so, oh, you need to do that thing instead of going to my phone, I will just turn to that page in the journal and I'll jot that down.
And so I relieve it, and I go back to the rest of the process. This morning, as I'm at Alison's house, I'm on a group text thread with a lot of high level executive business owners, that type of personality. And but they're all women. Some of my coolest girlfriends.
And there was a little bit of a rant session, which is okay. Like we use that as a rant session and then also an empowering conversation. But most of the women were saying because of changes going on, their business had been very down last year, meaning financially, when you look at like profit loss and they were everyone was sort of complaining to each other and I'm going to use that word, complain, even though these are very positive people. But it was on this and they had come from one of the women had said that she had heard on a different podcast that one of the most powerful things you could do is look back on last year and say, what did I do wrong?
And I don't like that question, because as soon as I hear that question and I witnessed it happen on our thread, everyone started pulling out what had gone wrong versus what seeds were planted and what was going right. So I had this whole thread going and I called Allison over who's not on the thread, and I explained to her what was happening, and I said, I want to hear and I want them to hear how you would address that. What's your answer to that? Could you share a little bit about that?
Yeah, I would, I would phrase it because I think it's good to learn from, you know, what is it that went great? And what do we want to let go of? What do we not want to carry through into the new year? And so I like to look at it more as what were the lessons?
How did I grow? And and again, you just as much as you want to add in better health and more exercise and drink, more water and all the things we want to do for ourselves, we also have to look at, okay, I'm done with this. That phase of my life is over. I'm going to set better boundaries.
I'm going to speak up more. So that's I really just flip it instead of a mistake to a lesson. You use very strategic words in your life. Even though you've mentioned the word manifest a few times, you don't.
That's not your typical go to work. You don't say things like vision, crafting, possibility. Use the word infinite a lot. Why do you choose those words?
Well, I believe that we live in an infinite universe. So if I if I look at this way and go here, there is absolutely nothing blocking me here. I mean, there might be a wall from a house, but that is it. Just you go through that wall, it just keeps going on and on and on.
Same thing. Infinite. I can go infinite. There absolutely is no limit.
And if I look at that as it pertains to business, that means that there is no limit on what I can create. And I don't even like the word. The sky is the limit because the map is saying that there is a ceiling. And so that's exciting to me because I believe that most people, business owners included, think way too small.
We put a limit on what we feel that we can achieve in our lifetime, and I feel like then by doing that, we're setting ourselves short. So if you wake up every day saying, wow, I'm in this infinite space, it's just helps you to feel expansive. You start thinking of bigger ideas and and then you start to see more expansive opportunities coming your way. No, you are the founder of Pinnacle Global Network.
So you do work with founders, CEOs, executives to to scale business. But it sounds like really what you teach their applies to life. Yeah, it really does. What we teach is to create your big picture vision, to get clear on what you want to create in your life, because clarity is power, and you can really apply that to any single area of your life.
And then we help build a strategic plan. And what that means is your reverse engineering, whatever it is you want to create. And so once you feel like that, you have a path and something to hold on to for all of us and people who can, you know, veer off in 20 directions and never move forward. I think having that roadmap is important.
Having a mentor, that's what we do. We mentor CEOs all over the world, and I think that we're so close to our life and our dreams and what it is we create that we don't see our own pitfalls. And so having someone that can be a mirror, especially someone that's been there and done it, that can help keep us accountable and keep us focused on what we want to create, is super important. Suicide note Alison has two books out already, and while you're listening to this, she had just signed.
This is another perfect example of her living in infinite possibility, as she just signed another book deal. So she's taking on a whole nother project around quantum energy, and it's going to be called Infinite Scale. You can actually preorder the book, and she had not really announced pre-ordering the book until we were doing this recording. And we're going to link all that in the show notes below, because if you do preorder it, she is going to give you her vision crafting process with it, which is amazing.
So you can and I will say I have been doing your vision crafting now. Not perfect at it yet. I am guilty of picking up my phone and getting distracted, but I do notice when I do the vision crafting, I'm in a completely different mode. It changes my whole day.
Yeah, it's not just about drawing in what you want, right? Which is wonderful, but I feel like the bonus of vision crafting, which I didn't realize this at the time, but the consistency of it just made me a happier person. Yeah, I'm not a morning person, Natalie, as you know what? Any person.
And so I used to wake up just like like that, you know, because I'm a night owl and I have I could, you know, have a dance party at ten at night. Yeah. It's just how I'm wired. It's in my DNA.
And I wake up in the morning just like, you know. And I'm still not a morning person. But I look forward to this. I love it so much because it makes me feel good.
And when I can get, just keep raising up that vibration until I get into this meditative state and I'll, you know, give that process to your listeners. I start my day so excited, just pumped up and really feeling good. And so to me, that's the best gift of all of this. I've learned a lot from Allison.
I will tell you, I think of myself as somebody who lives in possibility, as many of my listeners do, but I catch myself creating limitations that you don't create. So the more I'm around you, the more I watch how quickly you shift out of it. And I think it's it's wild to watch you actually do that. I've physically been around you when you had things happen or out of your control that were set back, and I watched you go through the you're mad or upset for a minute and then how quickly you shift out of it.
So I would just say as an outsider, it's the consistency of the commitment to get back to that that I notice with you. So it's not about perfection because you definitely have your days where you don't. I remember you told me it was a couple of weeks ago, you said that you had to help the landscape or you had to help all these things at your house, and you got you didn't do your vision crafting, and you realize you were in a bad mood, and that was why. Yeah.
And just you even recognizing that is so powerful because most of us are walking around completely not aware of why we're in our bad mood. It's just consistency. And that's the secret to anything, right? It's consistency of exercising.
You can't just do it once and be in shape. And what I found this is so interesting is that when I started doing this regularly, the momentum of energy, it became like a flywheel that the things that I would manifest, which used to take years now, can take months or days, you know. Well thank you Allison. This was the third show we've done together.
I'm sure I'll have her back on many more. I'm going to link up below all the places you can find her to learn more. And I can't wait for her new book to come out with a wait a year and a half. Wait a little while, but we ordered it.
But you can preorder it now and then. I can't wait to give the gifts the vision crafting because I would love to and I would love to hear how they're doing on it. One last question. What do you wish I had asked that I didn't?
Oh my gosh, what do I wish you had asked? I think that you pretty much asked everything, Natalie, I think, I can't think, what do you want people to know about you that they don't know yet are? Well, I think sometimes, and this isn't about me. But sometimes you look at people and you're like, well, they've got it all together and it's easy for them.
And I will just tell you that is, you know, it's been a lot of work and focus and practice and failures to get to where I am. So wherever you are. That's the best place to start. You know, I screw things up.
I am a klutz. I say things sometimes where I'm the next day going, oh, why did I say that? But then the more you do this work, you just. You'll learn to shift out of it.
There's no point in beating yourself up in today's new day. What makes me most excited about listening to you is I think at the time it's recording, I'm 54 and I know where you were at 54, and it's a very different place, which makes me think of possibility. So my piece of advice for everybody is to find mentors ahead of you, mentors that are find evidence of people ahead of us living in possibility of a thing we were thinking was not possible. Yes, you don't have to do it alone.
Why would you if you don't have to? Thank you everyone. Thank you. Lily.
