This episode is a candid production update from the host of Outbound Kitchen covering what shipped in the first quarter and what's launching in Q2. Across January, February, and March, the host released 13 podcast episodes and newsletters featuring guests like Jay Glenn, Diane Ring from Doordash, Jason Bae (CEO of Outbound Squad), and Troy Joneson from AimCloud discussing SDR profitability, territory mapping, cold calling tactics, and scaling outbound at different stages. Key content included AI model benchmarks (testing 7 models in March), tracking SDR team headcount via LinkedIn (232 teams monitored, 40 teams growing), and ClickUp's automation approach to increasing pipeline velocity.

The major Q2 shift moves the paid tier from Substack to Circle as a product, launching AI-powered playbooks including a Clay-based event attendee scraper, an account qualification and research system using Rhino Code, and AI-driven rep shadowing analysis. Pricing increases to $79/month or $499/year for new subscribers, though existing paid subscribers retain current rates. Upcoming guests include the growth marketing director at Gorgias, the co-founder/CRO of Richdesk, and a 20-person sales team building their own internal SDR/AES app. Planned content covers Clay workflows for account-based outbound, gifting strategies for Tier 1 accounts, Snowflake's AI for outbound, and a mobile phone number data benchmark across Clay, Operator, Upland Magic, Wizard, Apollo, and Lucianidiq.

Insight Density

3 / 20

This is almost entirely a content-calendar recap and promotional update with no actual insights delivered in the episode itself. The few data points mentioned (e.g., 5% to 46% pipeline from outbound) are brief teasers referencing other episodes, not unpacked here.

Hey, new video and episode to talk about Q1, a recap of Q1 and what's coming in Q2
now let's talk about what's coming in Q2. So the biggest change I would say is I'm going to change the paid newsletter into the pantry

Originality

2 / 20

No original thinking is presented; the episode is a meta-update listing topics from previous and future episodes. There are no frameworks, contrarian arguments, or first-principles reasoning of any kind.

so you will get access also to playbooks that you can run and obviously it's going to be detailed so you can use that for your company
I'm going to unpack this. What I mentioned earlier it's three companies that I know right now they they are building their own app uh for SDR and AES

Guest Caliber

2 / 20

This is a solo monologue; there are no guests present in the episode at all. Past and future guests are namedropped (ElevenLabs DTM, Diane Ring from DoorDash, Jason Bae) but none appear or contribute anything.

I uh got the DTM at ElevenLabs is leading the AZR team at Elevenlabs. John Chimuni we're talking about how they turn outbound from 5% to 46% of their pipeline
I had also Diane ring from Doordash on the show

Specificity & Evidence

5 / 20

A handful of concrete numbers appear (232 SDR teams tracked, 47 grew headcount, 5% to 46% pipeline, $79/month and $499 pricing) but these are all bare references to other episodes or product announcements, never substantiated or contextualised within this episode.

in those 232 advent teams I was them tracking 40 Ah, seven of them green grew their SDR team. In 2025
how they turn outbound from 5% to 46% of their pipeline

Conversational Craft

1 / 20

There is no interview, no questions, and no host-guest dynamic whatsoever - just a rambling, poorly structured solo monologue with frequent false starts, filler sounds, and no coherent narrative arc.

So I was off for a few weeks in France to see some family and friends. But we are back
So now let's talk about what we have in terms of the lineup for the podcast and live sessions. I don't know for everyone if we will be live or podcast yet

Speaker A: Hey, new video and episode to talk about Q1, a recap of Q1 and what's coming in Q2 and also say why I was not shipping anything or sending anything inside the newsletter on the podcast. So I was off for a few weeks in France to see some family and friends. But we are back and today we're going to talk about what you might miss in Q1 and what's coming in Q2. So Q1, um, we shipped some podcast episode and newsletter one episode that maybe you missed. I uh got the DTM at ElevenLabs is leading the AZR team at Elevenlabs. John Chimuni we're talking about how they turn outbound from 5% to 46% of their pipeline with human easiers and now they're almost at 50% already. And then we have another podcast episode where I watch podcast episode slash newsletter but where I'm talking about the best AI model that you can use for country search. I tested seven AI models and basically that was my benchmark for March 2026. We already have new two new models to 4.7 that was released this week and also we had the new model from OpenAI HR GPT 5.4 thinking so that we need to test on uh in February we shipped uh two newsletters and one podcast episode. One newsletter was about what I learned about tracking some admin teams. So I'm using LinkedIn to track the global headcount for SDRs and the headcount of SDRs for specific companies. So I'm going to release the the specific numbers for each company because on this one I didn't share it but basically I wanted to share my learnings. But in those 232 advent teams I was them tracking 40 Ah, seven of them green grew their SDR team. In 2025 a podcast episode recorded we find out actually that was a live session with Troy. That was a part two episode with him. We Troy Johnson actually if you don't know him, he's on the SDR leadership team at job tours they focused on SDR enablement and we talk about 5ai roleplay scenari can use for your SDR team. I share also a newsletter about ClickUp One of the things they built to 3x their pipeline and increase the number of dives per day with the same SDR team size. One of the things they build basically is an AI and yeah automation workflow that they built so they can achieve that. Also in February I shared nine ways I'm using Rhino clock code uh for A bound. So obviously now it's more because we're already in April and I'm using it more. But that's if you want to see um, how I'm using it here you can see In January I sent four podcast episodes and three newsletters. So one episode was with Jay Glenn. We talked about the SDRPN profit and loss map. Uh, super interesting episode to talk about when it's profitable to run a team SDR team. I sent also a newsletter um, on how to prove Outbound is working to your CEO or uh, your board actually. So we I shared some dashboards that you can use to show the output the result of your team. I had also uh Diane ring from Doordash on the show to talk about huh how they scale up bound at Doordash the early days that actually they were running a uh full cycle field reps team and they didn't have any SDRs and the team basically they were for the full cycle days they were owning album. I shared also a newsletter on how to divide your album market into territories. So that was a M and that was an SDR leader asking for this one. Before that we had the first episode also with Troy Joneson that I was mentioning earlier where we were talking about building an SDR environment function at ah a company and what they are currently doing. And currently doing. Yeah what they're currently building at AimCloud actually for this I shared also another newsletter about the number of emails or activities that you need right now to create an opportunity or a meeting. And before that I had Jason bae, the CEO of Outbound Squad. We were talking about how to call for higher connect rates. So now let's talk about what's coming in Q2. So the biggest change I would say is I'm going to change the paid newsletter into the pantry. So basically the pantry will be a product now. So I'm going to uh, move everything from substack to circle so you have access to everything. And I'm finally ah finishing this. Obviously it's not looks 100 ready. It's coming. But yeah just to let you know but what's the difference now? Because maybe you will ask that what's the difference? But I will keep the free newsletter and um, do the same on the free side. But on the pay side now uh, in the pay side you will get access to more stuff. So the stuff uh, plant systems and building with customers and so you will get access also to playbooks that you can run and obviously it's going to be detailed so you can use that for your company, what's coming inside of it because it will be ready at that time. Um, I have like a scrapper ready for trader from. Basically you have an attendee list on an app. You will get access, you will be able to use that with cloud code and then get the list into a format where you have the email address, link, profile, what to say and stuff like that. So super, super quick to build because uh, before uh, for me it was taking hours do that. Now it's getting really quick to build those stuff for customers. Another one that I'm really excited about also it's not ready yet even for customers. It's include code, um, building a system that from account list I can qualify, qualify, research, qualify and score them and then find the contacts, what to say for each contact, uh, using an account based approach. So meaning that if you have three or five contacts you know what to say for each and you can use that for cold email, cold calling and LinkedIn. So yeah, this one is really impressed by the earlier put. So far it's not ready but yeah, I can't wait to have this one ready. And obviously we have access to this one too. And recently also I was uh doing some shadowing sessions with a company shadowing their reps and their uh, day to day to see the stuff we could be doing differently, automate or using AI to make them more productive. So this one also building this with QR code. So uh, once for example you get the code recording the transcript of the session, you can use that to give you some recommendation based on how they are currently operating. And the pricing will increase because I'm building more stuff but also adding more depth I would say to those systems the pricing will be $79 uh, per month, uh and then $499 if you get done your pricing and if you're already a paid subscriber of this newsletter actually the pricing stays the same uh, if you stay subscribed because if you can sell income clearer then you the new rate will apply. And if you don't know if you want to get this, I would say yeah, subscribe right now so you can get the current pricing and not the future pricing. Now let's talk about uh, what we have in terms of the lineup for the podcast and live sessions. I don't know for everyone if we will be live or podcast yet but we have the growth marketing director at Gorgias who said yes, the co founder and chief revenue officer of richdesk. Also I got the growth I've been working with a team of 20 sales rep they have uh AES NSDRs and what's interesting with them specifically it's they build their own internal app that I know the team at pigment and ramp they already been doing that so I think it will be interesting to unpack that. Okay so what's coming in newsletter and the page side also it's going to share the count research system I'm using how to scale A Bounty 2026 how I'm using Clay with for a bound if you run an account based approach or for example for your Tier 1 accounts how you can use gifting and for those tier one accounts the cold coding system I'm running how Snowflake is using AI for bond and there's their team we were talking about that earlier but uh um the event system. So if you have a trade show how to book meeting the trade show and then to uh get the list before that so you know who's going at the event and how you can prep for this then we are going to talk all the AI workflows you can run for your team. So your team basically they don't need to use Airpoint uh manually you can run those workflows for them in the backend basically and then I'm going to unpack this. What I mentioned earlier it's three companies that I know right now they they are building their own app uh for SDR and AES for ah Outbound specifically and something if you are listening to this or reading this so far you will see but I need some help so I'm finishing my benchmark about mobile phone number for 2026 for in the US so I have the data set already for Clay data operator so upselling magic Also I have the data set of Wizard Apollo Lucianidiq and if you can help me I'm looking for someone that has access to the minfo or Cognizant and if you are a Revops uh or Legion agency and have access to this you can send me a message and uh I will pay for this. Happy to be back. Now let's get back to cooking.
