Episode notes

In this episode of the Always Better Than Yesterday Podcast, host Ryan Hartley sits down with James Kellock - former international athlete, founder, coach, and kindness advocate whose life’s work is rooted in the belief that small acts of compassion can transform individuals, workplaces, and entire communities. James shares the deeply human story behind his journey: growing up between Scotland, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, navigating boarding school, elite sport, fatherhood, corporate success, burnout, identity, and ultimately finding a more meaningful path through faith, service, and connection. A former England Masters hockey player and dual international athlete, James reflects on the mindset of competition, the burden of expectation, and how personal adversity became the catalyst for a more purpose-driven life. Today, James is the founder of All We Can Foundation - a global kindness movement built around one simple but radical belief: that kindness should be visible, measurable, and contagious. Through schools, communities, businesses, and grassroots initiatives, the organisation exists to inspire everyday acts of generosity that create lasting ripple effects across the world.
