The host of this motivational podcast directly challenges the narrative that building a business can be easy, pointing to how market conditions have shifted dramatically since 2020-2021 when sales came more readily. Today's entrepreneurs face more customer skepticism, longer sales cycles, and require deeper investment in nurturing prospects through objections. The core thesis is that next-level results demand three non-negotiable elements: solid focus (tunnel vision on action), discipline (executing required habits regardless of feeling), and trust (managing uncertainty and self-doubt). The host uses a current client example - a leader scaling her visibility and facing increased rejection - to illustrate how each level of business growth comes with proportionally higher emotional and action demands. Rather than waiting for motivation or emotional alignment, successful operators must develop the capacity to take action in a "stuck state" and recognize that the messy middle phase feels hard because it actually is hard. This reframing separates those riding 2020's easy wins from those genuinely committed to sustainable growth.
Hosted by Christine Corcoran. The show scores 36.5/100 on substance across its analysed episodes. See the full show profile.
Market conditions have fundamentally shifted - sales are no longer easy to generate, customer skepticism is higher, and the sales process requires much longer nurturing and attention to objections, meaning entrepreneurs must stay far more invested in supporting prospects through buying decisions.
You must separate emotion processing from decision-making; take action anyway by choosing the state and results you want, rather than letting your current unmotivated or fear state dictate your behavior.
Solid focus (tunnel vision on taking action no matter what), discipline (executing required habits consistently regardless of feeling), and trust (managing uncertainty and believing it's working out in your favor).
Increased visibility, rejection, and comments are proof you're taking the action required to scale; each level of growth demands proportionally more emotional management and risk-taking, which naturally feels harder.

The episode is almost entirely motivational padding and platitudes with zero novel claims per minute. The one semi-relevant observation - that the online sales environment has become harder since 2020-2021 - is underdeveloped and unsupported, leaving virtually nothing actionable for a B2B operator.
Your next level is going to require this from you, right? It's going to require you to do things you don't want to do.
Your state will determine your results.
Every idea here is a recycled motivational trope: 'the messy middle,' state-determines-results (Tony Robbins), and do-things-outside-your-comfort-zone. There is no contrarian, first-principles, or counterintuitive argument anywhere in the episode.
That's the messy middle. That's the messy middle to get you to the next level.
Your state will determine your results. So if you get stuck in a stuck state, an unmotivated state, a lazy state, a fear state
There is no guest - this is a solo monologue from a host who presents as a general online business and life coach. Nothing in the transcript demonstrates practitioner experience at scale in any B2B domain.
One of my clients at the moment is executing on a strategy that means that she's going, she's showing up a lot more, she's getting rejected a lot more
The only concrete reference is one unnamed client anecdote with zero metrics and a vague temporal claim about 2020-2021 versus now. No companies, no dollar figures, no conversion rates, no timelines are provided.
it was so easy to get sales in 2020, 2021. And yet now in 2026 it's taking a lot longer.
One of my clients at the moment is executing on a strategy that means that she's going, she's showing up a lot more, she's getting rejected a lot more
This is a pure solo monologue with no guest, no questions, no follow-ups, and no pushback possible. There is no conversational craft to evaluate - the format itself forecloses any of the dimensions this criterion rewards.

Speaker A: Welcome to five Minutes of Momentum. These episodes are a short five minute burst of inspiration, motivation and massive action. If you need that little kick up the butt to get things moving and to inspire you to take massive action, then every single Thursday, I'll be sending you through a five minute episode to download, digest and implement to finish your week off strong. Are you ready to get started? Let's go. Hey. Hey. Welcome back to five Minutes of Momentum. Today I want to record a little tough love episode because what I'm noticing is this juxtaposition between like, I want this freedom lifestyle and I want to run my own business and I want to do my own thing, which is all good and well, right? Which is amazing. And we do, we get to create an incredible business and live the life that we want to live. And if you want to really live that life, you want to take your business to the next level, you want to create next level results in your business, it is going to take a lot from you, which is often against the narrative of things can be easy in your business. Because I think that I, uh, just am m pushing back against this whole thing of like, you're not going to have to work hard to get where you want to create in your business because you honestly are. And I think that this year is really showing people that this year has really shown the people that are in it for the long haul and the ones that have been riding on the coattails of 2020 and are uh, getting frustrated with the fact that it's taking a lot more work to generate more sales. Right. So so much has changed in the online space that it was so easy to get sales in 2020, 2021. And yet now in 2026 it's taking a lot longer. We're going to have to stay much more invested in the sales process. We have to pay attention to the objections our customers are throwing at us and support and nurture, uh, people through those objections to get them to buy. Because at the end of the day there's so much skepticism, there's so much that's shifted in the, in consumer behavior that if we're not staying invested in that process, then we're often leaving a lot of money on the table. And people are getting so exhausted by this that they're just like, I'm opting out. I'm actually going to close my business down. Cause it's not as easy as it used to be. And so I wanted to create a little episode about this because for you to really step into your next level Your next level is going to require this from you, right? It's going to require you to do things you don't want to do. If you want a business that creates great results and creates great money, you are going to have to do things that you don't want to do. And I'm not saying do things that are outside of your values or outside of your integrity or your own moral compass. That's not what I mean. I mean, there is going to have to be solid focus, there's going to have to be discipline, and there's going to have to be action on tasks that are, uh, monotonous. That may be things that you don't necessarily feel motivated to do, but you know, are required in order for you to have a business. So what I want to say to this is, is very much you can take action on things without any emotion attached to it. Whereas a lot of the time, sometimes we let too much of our emotion drive our, uh, behavior in our business of like, do I feel like doing that? Is it in alignment? There's a big difference between paying attention to your emotions and processing your emotions versus getting stuck in a stuck state and thinking that's your emotions saying, oh, I don't really feel aligned with this. That's not what that is. That's responding or reacting to a current state. Instead of choosing the state that you want to be in, that's going to get you the result that you're looking for. Your state will determine your results. So if you get stuck in a stuck state, an unmotivated state, a lazy state, a fear state, you're not necessarily going to take actions on the things that it's going to require of you in order to create next level results. So what I want you to get comfortable with is taking risks, is doing things you've never done before, is taking action on things that don't feel you're ready for yet, that you're not confident in just yet, and know that in taking those steps, you're going to get confident and you're also going to get better at them, and you're also going to get better results. You're going to have more data to look back at. One of my clients at the moment is executing on a strategy that means that she's going, she's showing up a lot more, she's getting rejected a lot more, she's getting, um, more opportunities to put herself out there, which means she's getting certain comments coming back. She's having a lot more visibility, which is, you know, Leveled up the expectation of what is required of her to show up as a leader in her business. And I was saying to her the other day, like, this is what this next level requires of you is your ability to manage and navigate your emotions and your thoughts through this level of rejection, through this level of visibility, through this level of action, steps that's going to have to take. And so she feels like she's working so much harder than what she used to. And I'm like, it's because you actually are. And that's what requires of you, uh, in this season. You're not always going to be in this season, and that's okay. Your next level is absolutely going to require solid focus for you to be so tunnel vision and taking that action no matter what, no matter how you feel. Discipline in doing the habits that your business requires in order for you to create next level results, risks, which means you're going to have to handle a lot more uncertainty. And it's going to have to need a next level of trust. Trust in that it's working out, trust that you can do this, trust in yourself, trust that it's all working out in your favor. And a lot of the time we don't believe that. We get stuck in doubting it, doubting that it's actually going to work. So if you really want to take your business to the next level, these are the things you're going to have to step into. And it's not going to feel motivating, it's not going to feel inspiring. It's not going to. It's not going to feel like you really want to do it, because that's the messy middle. That's the messy middle to get you to the next level. So it's time to suck it up, buttercup, and take the action anyway.
