This brief Express Tip episode cuts straight to a practical planning tool for 2025: large post-it notes (from Staples or Office Depot) displayed prominently in your office and home office. Rather than creating detailed micro-plans, Walter advocates dumping all goals onto one visible artifact - revenue targets, physical fitness objectives, property or business acquisitions, family goals, travel plans - in no particular order. The mechanism is straightforward: daily visual exposure to your written goals trains your subconscious mind to prioritize and recognize opportunities aligned with those targets, often resulting in surprising achievement rates by year-end despite lacking granular action plans. This approach works across domains: business metrics, personal development, family initiatives, and lifestyle goals coexist on the same board. Walter reports that teams and families who adopt this method consistently accomplish most posted goals simply through ambient awareness and repeated visual reinforcement throughout the year.
Use large post-it notes from office supply retailers like Staples or Office Depot, which come in various sizes and colors (like fluorescent pink squares), functioning similarly to a whiteboard for visibility.
No - write goals in no particular order as you think of them throughout the planning process; the key is getting them visible, not organizing them systematically.
Include all goal categories: work revenue targets, personal fitness goals, property or business acquisitions, family objectives, and lifestyle activities like planned travel.
Daily visual exposure to your written goals helps your subconscious absorb them and recognize opportunities aligned with those targets, often resulting in goal achievement by year-end despite lacking granular planning.
Hang it in multiple locations where you naturally pass multiple times daily - both your office workspace and home office - to ensure consistent visual reinforcement throughout the day.

The entire four-minute episode contains exactly one idea - write your goals on a large Post-it note and hang it somewhere visible - repeated in different words until the time is filled. There are no novel claims, no frameworks, and no actionable sub-steps beyond buying a Sharpie.
grab a big sharpie grab a big post-it note and throw up a blank piece of paper and start just dumping all of your goals on there
it's just an easy easy easy place to start and an easy way to get your goals out of your head and on paper
'Write your goals down so you can see them daily and your subconscious will absorb them' is possibly the single most recycled piece of advice in all of self-help and entrepreneurship content; nothing here is contrarian, first-principles, or counterintuitive in any way.
your subconscious will absorb it
you will realize that you've almost knocked out every single one of those things that are on there. It's pretty cool.
There is no guest; the episode is a solo monologue from the host with no demonstrated operational expertise at scale, no credentials cited, and no evidence of having built or run a significant business.

No concrete numbers, no named companies, no metrics, no timelines, and no case studies appear anywhere in the transcript; the only near-specific example offered is a hypothetical 'trip to Greece.'
whatever revenues we want to hit whatever um physically i want to do um if there's like something that i want to do either accomplish with um an activity either tennis or weights or i don't run but you know like if you were doing a marathon or something like that
This is an uninterrupted solo monologue with no guest, no questions, no follow-ups, and no opportunity for pushback; the format structurally precludes any conversational craft.

Welcome to the Entrepreneur Evolution Podcast. This is our Entrepreneur Express tip episode. I'm your host, Annette Walter, and this is the place where I share weekly business tips in five minutes or less to help you regroup from your week and prepare to launch into next week. Let's get started.
I wanted to give you a quick 2025 planning tip. If you haven't already thought about your big goals, your big vision, your big mission, your kind of big nuggets for 2025, what I will do is I will start with a blank piece of paper. These are the big post-it notes from Staples or from Office Depot. They come in various sizes, various colors.
There's like square fluorescent pink ones that are fun. This is the basic larger post-it note that's kind of like you know the whiteboard but what I will do is I will hang this in my office both in my office at my work building and then my home office and I will fill it up with all of the goals for the year so um whatever revenues we want to hit whatever um physically i want to do um if there's like something that i want to do either accomplish with um an activity either tennis or weights or i don't run but you know like if you were doing a marathon or something like that um or if you're looking to hit a certain you know physical goal i would put that up there I also do kind of really big goals as it relates to you know if we looking to acquire another property or looking to acquire another business I will put kind of all of the different things up on this In no particular order, I just will write it as I walk by.
And I'll also do it for the boys, if the boys have any big goals, because it will help me stay focused on their goals as well. So once you have everything up there it relates to your work, your personal, your family. Maybe it's like, you know, if you want to plan a trip to Greece, you would put trip to Greece up there. Put everything up there that you really want to accomplish in 2025.
And then you will see it every day. You will visually walk by it and see it multiple times a day. And your subconscious will absorb it. So even though you may not have a huge, you know, micro plan and have it broken down on the micro level, you will be seeing the bigger nuggets and the bigger goals of what you want to accomplish.
And it's crazy when you fast forward to the end of the year, I mean, you actually take a moment to focus on it and look up instead of subconsciously walking by it every day, you will realize that you've almost knocked out every single one of those things that are on there. It's pretty cool.
