Why it scores where it does

Problem Solvers ranks #4888 on The B2B Podcast Index with a substance score of 49.0 out of 100, scored across 1 recent episode. It scores highest on specificity & evidence and insight density. The Olipop example is genuinely concrete - three named iterations of packaging language traced over time with a revenue claim attached - but the rest of the episode is largely abstract advice with no named companies, client outcomes, timelines, or verifiable data points.

The five-dimension breakdown

Averaged across 1 recently scored episode, with cited evidence.

Insight Density

12.0 / 20

The episode is built almost entirely around one idea - the curse of knowledge - with a four-part framework bolted on. The Olipop packaging evolution adds some value, but for 11 minutes the signal-to-noise ratio is low, with significant filler and a newsletter plug eating runtime.

“people can only decide whether or not they want to do business with you based on the fact that they hear what you say and then they think, I need that, or I don't need that”

“You are never sending information out there. You are always delivering information.”

Originality

10.0 / 20

The curse-of-knowledge concept and 'speak the customer's language' advice are among the most well-worn ideas in marketing and communications; the four-part framework (measurable, statable, understandable, desirable) is a mild repackaging of existing ideas. The 'hate me or celebrate me' framing is the most memorable original moment but it's one line in a largely recycled take.

“hate me or celebrate me, but whatever you do, don't just tolerate me because I'm confusing”

“They stopped describing what the product was and started describing what it meant to the person who was going to buy it”

Guest Caliber

7.0 / 20

There is no live guest - this is a solo monologue. The only named practitioner, Myron Golden, is a sales coach referenced entirely second-hand and without credential depth; he does not appear, is not interviewed, and is not established as a scaled B2B operator.

“a sales coach named Myron Golden, stopped her on that”

“I followed up with Myron Golden to ask what his suggestion is”

Specificity & Evidence

13.0 / 20

The Olipop example is genuinely concrete - three named iterations of packaging language traced over time with a revenue claim attached - but the rest of the episode is largely abstract advice with no named companies, client outcomes, timelines, or verifiable data points.

“sparkling digestive tonic”

“It does not say sparkling tonic You know what it says now It says a new kind of soda”

Conversational Craft

7.0 / 20

This is a solo monologue with no actual interview, no live questions, no follow-ups, and no pushback on any claim; there is nothing to evaluate in terms of host craft beyond narrative structure, which is competent but not sophisticated.

“So I followed up with Myron about this and I'll tell you more about what he said later”

“And hey, you matter. And that's our episode.”
