XRP may be becoming the key to something much bigger than payments. Ripple is challenging the idea that every regulated stablecoin is created equal. A money transmitter license, state trust charter, and federal prudential supervision each carry different reserve requirements, verification standards, and consequences if an issuer fails. As stablecoins become part of the financial system, the level of regulatory oversight behind them could determine which assets institutions are willing to trust. Clearpool is also expanding to the XRP Ledger, bringing institutional-ready credit and lending infrastructure directly to XRPL. The proposal includes migrating from CPOOL to CLEAR and recapitalizing the treasury to fund incentives, adoption, and the platform’s next phase of growth. Institutional credit remains largely untapped on XRPL, but Clearpool believes the opportunity is massive. At the same time, RippleX is working with Common Prefix to formally verify the XRP Ledger. This effort goes directly to the reliability and security institutions require before moving serious financial activity onchain.
