Mariana Henninger walks through her business evolution in the first half of 2026, detailing her shift from the Brand Video Accelerator to Presold Clients, a comprehensive system for coaches. Rather than relying solely on a brand video asset, she's now building what she calls a trust ecosystem across three phases: Connection (establishing human connection through a rebranded Human Connection Video and trust audits), Conviction (identifying belief shifts needed and creating intentional trust assets to address objections), and Continuity (using retargeting ads to ensure the right audience sees belief-shifting content without depending on organic algorithm reach). The program repositions coaching businesses away from traditional high-volume content and objection-handling sales calls toward a model where ideal clients arrive pre-sold, already convinced of value. Mariana emphasizes her philosophy that trust and business happen between people, not through automation, and shares her qualification system using a VSL top-of-funnel, offer doc, and direct application process - no setters or closers. She discusses working with a data-driven coach, implementing Descript for recording, making small production upgrades, and exploring follow-up systems like Kelly Roach's Miracle Hour to drive awareness.

Key takeaways

  • →The 3-part trust ecosystem (Connection, Conviction, Continuity) replaces heavy volume content strategies by creating intentional belief-shifting assets and retargeting warm audiences rather than chasing algorithm visibility.
  • →Human connection videos (repositioned from brand videos) establish top-of-funnel trust without calls-to-action, designed around your dreamiest past client to create authentic personality and value alignment.
  • →Presold Clients filters for established coaches with proven results using a qualification process (VSL → DM to request access → offer doc → application), intentionally avoiding hand-holding to attract self-directed entrepreneurs.
  • →Trust audits help coaches understand exactly how ideal clients perceive them on first contact, including visual, tonal, and personality signals that activate trust triggers.
  • →Retargeting ads to warm audiences with belief-shifting content ensures your ideal prospects see conviction-building assets on your timeline, not at the mercy of organic reach.

Questions this episode answers

What is the Presold Clients program and how does it differ from the Brand Video Accelerator?

Presold Clients is Mariana's new program that evolved from Brand Video Accelerator. Instead of just creating a brand video, it builds a complete 3-part trust ecosystem (Connection, Conviction, Continuity) to help coaches attract pre-qualified clients without traditional sales calls or heavy objection-handling, repositioning the core asset as a Human Connection Video.

What are the three parts of the trust ecosystem Mariana is building?

Connection focuses on the Human Connection Video and trust audits to establish how clients perceive you; Conviction identifies which beliefs need shifting and creates intentional trust assets (content) to address objections; Continuity uses retargeting ads to deliver these assets to warm audiences independent of algorithm reach.

How does Mariana qualify leads for the Presold Clients program?

She uses a VSL (video sales letter) that invites people to DM her the word PRESOLD on Instagram. Qualified applicants have established businesses, proven client results, and don't need hand-holding - this filters for self-directed coaches ready to implement without heavy support.

What is a trust audit and why does Mariana use it?

A trust audit reveals how your ideal client perceives you when they first encounter you online, examining branding, personality, authenticity, and whether you activate trust triggers like feeling understood, cared for, and aligned on values.

What production upgrades is Mariana making to improve first impressions?

She's upgrading her background, camera setup, lighting, and microphone arm positioning using Descript for recording, focusing on improving the visual and audio perception people have when they first encounter her content.

Insight Density

5 / 20

The episode is primarily a business update and promotional piece for the host's own program. The '3 C's' framework (Connection, Conviction, Continuity) is described at a surface level without operational depth, and large portions are filler, personal anecdotes about camera equipment, and CTA repetition.

I am now using Descript to record this episode. I'm giving it a trial run
So the entire ecosystem is basically built on three C's.

Originality

5 / 20

The core thesis - human connection beats AI automation, pre-sell through trust assets - is well-circulated in the coaching-marketing space. The 'backdrop of grayness' framing offers a mildly interesting angle but is not developed into a genuinely contrarian or first-principles argument.

it has created this incredible backdrop of grayness, where if you know how to stand out, a backdrop of grayness makes your job even easier
people do business with people, and in order to accelerate trust, the trust that's really broken right now, we have to create human connection first

Guest Caliber

3 / 20

This is a solo episode with no guest. The host is a small operator who explicitly acknowledges misaligned sales volume for her value and cannot clearly recall the timeline of her own cohort launch, indicating limited scale.

I ran a launch and we Finished the cohort basically, I can't even remember when. Oh my gosh, I think it was in May.
I knew that for the value that I had, I wasn't bringing in the amount of sales that made sense.

Specificity & Evidence

4 / 20

Almost no hard data is presented: no revenue figures, conversion rates, or client outcome metrics. The most concrete evidence offered is a single anecdotal story about two clients crying, and vague structural details like 'two to three-minute video' and 'two-hour workshop.'

he showed his human connection video to three clients, and two of them cried
what I'm experimenting with is this idea that I can break off the human connection video and create it as a, two-hour workshop

Conversational Craft

3 / 20

The episode is an uninterrupted solo monologue with no guest, no structured questions, no intellectual tension, and no pushback of any kind. The narrative meanders between equipment notes, program promotion, and vague future plans without sharp editorial discipline.

I'm not really happy with this mic arm. I do have another one that's way more discreet
I'm less teaching in this episode and more showing you what's working for me

Episode notes

Text me! Your work is incredible. You know it. Your clients know it. But somehow, cold people still need a whole journey before they feel it. The annoying and painful gap between how good you actually are and how fast people trust you online... is really what this episode is about. A lot has shifted over here. Brand Video Accelerator is officially sunsetted. It worked ( beautifully! ) but is even better now that it's evolved (my new program is called Presold Clients™). In this Empire Diaries episode, I'm sharing the full evolution: what Brand Video Accelerator was and what it became, and why Presold Clients™ is the system I was always building toward: the human connection and trust-based way to help coaches get dream clients arriving already sold, already trusting, already asking logistics questions instead of needing to be objection handled for 5 hours. I also tell the client story that made me tear up again just thinking about it. He showed his Human Connection Video to three people. Two grown men cried. That's not a testimonial. That's proof of what the right story, told the right way, actually does to people.

27 - > Just finding ways to improve the perception and the impression 28 - > that people have of you when they land on you for the first 29 - > time. 30 - > One of the things that we work together inside of my new 31 - > program, Presold Clients, is what I call a trust audit. 32 - > A trust audit is basically understanding how your ideal 33 - > client sees you for the first time when they meet you online. 34 - > So when they come across your website or your name on a 35 - > comment somewhere on social media, and they're doing some 36 - > investigating.

37 - > They're basically figuring out whether you're worth paying 38 - > attention to, whether you're worth trusting. 39 - > And they're looking at all of these signals from your 40 - > branding, yes. 41 - > But also more importantly, how are you actually showing up? 42 - > Are you creating a human connection with them?

43 - > Are you activating their trust triggers? 44 - > Are you making them feel that you get them, you care about 45 - > them, you've got them, and that you vibe, your personalities 46 - > align? 47 - > So all of these things that we make sure that these are being 48 - > communicated, that your ideal person, your ideal client 49 - > actually feels these things when they meet you. 50 - > Upgrading what you look like and what, how you sound is 51 - > definitely a part of that.

52 - > So I wanted to share with you guys what I've been working on. 53 - > This year has been really, really interesting for me. 54 - > We're almost at the middle mark of the year, so it's a great 55 - > time to kind of look back and see what's happened in the first 56 - > six months. 57 - > And if you're interested in the BTS, this is what this episode 58 - > is all about.

59 - > I'm less teaching in this episode and more showing you 60 - > what's working for me, how I'm building my business, how I'm 61 - > thinking about, what the market is reacting to, and how the 62 - > market is buying right now. 63 - > What are my learnings and what are my plans? 64 - > So to really take a step back and look at the first two 65 - > quarters of the year for me, the biggest thing that's happened 66 - > was I ran what was basically the last cohort of the brand video 67 - > accelerator in its current format.

68 - > And in fact, like, that program has officially sunsetted. 69 - > And the reason for that is because I knew I wanted to bring 70 - > something deeper and more complete to the marketplace. 71 - > And I have spent, you know, since the beginning of my 72 - > business for three and a half years, basically, a single 73 - > program with a single end goal, and once we had crossed the 74 - > finish line and created your brand video, you were basically 75 - > done. 76 - > And I showed you how to use that in your funnels and in your 77 - > universe and your systems and your website and your socials 78 - > and your welcome sequence and your, pitches and all of that.

79 - > And that was basically the extent of the work that we did 80 - > together. 81 - > So I knew I needed to create sort of the evolution of that 82 - > and what is the next step? 83 - > What is the thing that I can help people build the trust 84 - > ecosystem where this video lived? 85 - > So I came into 2026 knowing that I wanted to not only restructure 86 - > my offer, but kind of reposition it as well.

87 - > I knew I needed to look at it in a fresh, new way. 88 - > I knew that for the value that I had, I wasn't bringing in the 89 - > amount of sales that made sense. 90 - > And it's okay. 91 - > I have built a program that's tried and true, but now it's 92 - > time to take it to the next level and to go even further.

93 - > And so I was very lucky because I started working with a coach 94 - > that I really respect and really love, I have to say. 95 - > Which is a funny word to use with him because he's not very, 96 - > he's not very touchy-feely. 97 - > But he's very, like, data-driven, no BS. 98 - > There's not that much emotion involved.

99 - > Uh, but he was exactly the person that I needed at the time 100 - > when I knew I was ready to make these changes. 101 - > And the beautiful thing was that I learned so much about how I 102 - > wanna coach my clients as well. 103 - > So not only did he help me see this new chapter of my business, 104 - > but he helped me see what an amazing coach can be, and I 105 - > realized, like, I've been a great coach, but I am not using 106 - > some of the systems and the approaches that he used, which I 107 - > thought were really, really excellent.

108 - > So I'll get to that maybe in a different episode. 109 - > And so the big, the big changes have been again, redeveloping my 110 - > program into something bigger, but the brand video is no longer 111 - > the brand video. 112 - > It's now called The Human Connection Video, which is such 113 - > a fantastic name. 114 - > It really was like a home run name for me when I...

115 - > Honestly, it was my coach that gave me this name, and I was 116 - > like,"This is brilliant. 117 - > This is exactly what this does." And it speaks to the zeitgeist 118 - > right now. 119 - > It speaks to how so many coaches are taking the lazy path, if you 120 - > will, and thinking that they're doing the right thing by 121 - > automating all of their lead nurture and even lead gen 122 - > systems, and really putting AI in front of their market versus 123 - > showing up themselves, and thinking that they're being 124 - > smart by doing that.

125 - > And to me, it has created this incredible backdrop of grayness, 126 - > where if you know how to stand out, a backdrop of grayness 127 - > makes your job even easier. 128 - > And what I'm doing is going against that. 129 - > It's my manifesto. 130 - > It's my true belief that people do business with people, and in 131 - > order to accelerate trust, the trust that's really broken right 132 - > now, we have to create human connection first.

133 - > And so doubling down on human connection, using this asset 134 - > that is so incredible, this two to three-minute video that 135 - > really captures your story, your drive, your personality, your 136 - > missions, your values in a single video. 137 - > There's no call to action at the end. 138 - > There's no,"You must buy this now." Right?

139 - > There's no click here. 140 - > It's literally human connection at the most basic, fundamental 141 - > level of trust. 142 - > And so that is now the rebrand of this asset. 143 - > And the program has now, you know, gone from Brand Video 144 - > Accelerator to my baby, which I love so much, called Presold 145 - > Clients.

146 - > So the idea of Presold Clients is the idea that we are going 147 - > from working longer hours, working harder, chasing, and 148 - > Hustling to get clients and to close them on sales calls and to 149 - > learn how to objection handle the crap out of them, to 150 - > creating a system whereby that is being done in their 151 - > territory. 152 - > So what I mean by that is instead of going out there and 153 - > calling people into your world through like a sales call or 154 - > even a sales event, what we're doing is creating all of the 155 - > trust assets that will shift their beliefs and tell the right 156 - > stories to do that, and putting that in front of our audience.

157 - > So the entire ecosystem is basically built on three C's. 158 - > So the first one is connection. 159 - > So we kind of cover that with the human connection video with 160 - > the trust audit. 161 - > This idea that when you know who your dreamiest client is on a 162 - > very deep level, and your dreamiest client, by the way, is 163 - > somebody that got amazing results working with you, who 164 - > you loved working with, who did the work, who you'd work with 165 - > them for free, and you'd hang out with them for free.

166 - > That's your dreamiest client, right? 167 - > And naming them, like who was the exact person that actually 168 - > fulfilled that role for you? 169 - > The second thing is, understanding how you mean to 170 - > them, meaning what are the spices and flavors of your 171 - > personality and approach and POV that most resonate with that 172 - > person, and then encapsulating all of that into a human 173 - > connection video. 174 - > So really fixing that top of funnel first.

175 - > Fixing how people are coming in first and foremost, and what is 176 - > the connection that we're creating as soon as they come 177 - > in. 178 - > The second part of the system is the second C, which is 179 - > conviction. 180 - > So this is where understanding which beliefs need to be shifted 181 - > and which stories we're gonna use to shift those beliefs, and 182 - > then creating the trust assets that shift those beliefs. 183 - > This is where we are building the...

184 - > essentially the building blocks of our trust ecosystem. 185 - > These are the bricks that are going to be laid on top of each 186 - > other to build the actual house. 187 - > In essence, they're pieces of content, but they are incredibly 188 - > intentional about what they do. 189 - > They're not just volume for the sake of volume, visibility for 190 - > the sake of visibility, content for the sake of content because 191 - > somebody told you you needed to produce that content.

192 - > Once we create that, then we go into the third phase, which is 193 - > continuity. 194 - > So how do we get these pieces in front of our audience without 195 - > being beholden to the algorithm? 196 - > Without having to wait and see whether the algorithm is gonna 197 - > show our content to the right people? 198 - > How do we make sure that the right people see it, whether or 199 - > not they happen to see it naturally?

200 - > So basically what we're doing is running retargeting ads to the 201 - > warmest people in our audience with these belief-shifting 202 - > assets. 203 - > And so these three parts of the ecosystem are now what I'm 204 - > helping clients with, and right now we have a founding member 205 - > cohort that's so amazing. 206 - > I'm working hands-on with every single client the clients in 207 - > there have basically created their human connection video 208 - > already and are moving on to the next phases of the ecosystem.

209 - > And it is so amazing to already see the results Of, all this 210 - > work that we're doing together where they're landing clients 211 - > that they hadn't landed before. 212 - > They know exactly how to speak to them. 213 - > They know exactly which words to use. 214 - > They know what beliefs and objections they need to be 215 - > handling even before the client reaches out to them.

216 - > So the whole point is that you are building the sales system 217 - > whereby your perfect client is coming to you already raising 218 - > their hand, already saying,"I need to know more about your 219 - > offer, but I'm already sold. 220 - > I already know I want in. 221 - > I just need to know a few details and where to sign. 222 - > Where do I click?

223 - > Where do I put my credit card in?" And that is the whole 224 - > beauty of pre-sold clients, whereby instead of posting 225 - > content hoping it sticks, hoping your ideal person sees it. 226 - > Instead of, playing the algorithm game, instead of 227 - > waiting to get them on a phone call to then handle all their 228 - > objections and, and close them by force, which you obviously 229 - > should never do. 230 - > Instead of doing all of that, we are creating the system whereby 231 - > on autopilot they are seeing the right things that they need to 232 - > see, hear, believe in order to be ready to buy from us.

233 - > So they trust us with the human connection and trust that we've 234 - > built top of funnel, and then any other objection that they 235 - > might have towards joining our program is handled through the 236 - > trust ecosystem. 237 - > And so in a nutshell, that's the program. 238 - > So what I've been building is literally the back end of all of 239 - > that for myself, not only the curriculum, but also my own 240 - > automations and system whereby people can come into my world on 241 - > autopilot.

242 - > So what that looks like for me is basically a VSL that's top of 243 - > funnel. 244 - > So I have a video that explains everything and makes an 245 - > invitation, like if you want to learn more about how we do this 246 - > for clients essentially DM me the word PRESOLD on Instagram. 247 - > So that's how I have it set up right now, where in order to 248 - > even view what this program is about and how much it costs and 249 - > what's involved, you have to be qualified.

250 - > And the qualification is honestly just kind of minimal on 251 - > the revenue side. 252 - > I did not wanna put, like, a really high revenue 253 - > qualification, but I do wanna work with clients who have 254 - > established businesses. 255 - > This is not a beginner program, people who have gotten client 256 - > results, who are great at what they do, and who don't need a 257 - > ton of hand-holding. 258 - > Not because I can't do it for them, but honestly because I 259 - > don't want to.

260 - > I think the best results are not when you hand-hold people. 261 - > The best results are when you get people who are ready to do 262 - > the work and who need instruction and support, not 263 - > hand-holding. 264 - > And so it kind of filters for those things, and once they pass 265 - > through the filter of the process, then they are then 266 - > taken to the offer doc, which explains how everything runs, 267 - > what it looks like on the inside. 268 - > Here are some more testimonials.

269 - > If you have any questions, you can DM me, and there's no 270 - > setters or closers in my DMs. 271 - > It's just me. 272 - > And finally, they can then apply to join the program. 273 - > So that is how I have it set up right now for pre-sold clients.

274 - > I'm really happy about it. 275 - > I'm really feel good about how it's set up and the people that 276 - > I'm bringing into the world. 277 - > In addition to having set that up, there are kind of a few, um, 278 - > engines that are running to bring people into this 279 - > ecosystem. 280 - > So the first engine is obviously content still.

281 - > So it's still organic content without it being a million 282 - > pieces. 283 - > So for me, what that looks like is one long-form piece on 284 - > YouTube. 285 - > So if you haven't connected with me on YouTube, go ahead and do 286 - > that. 287 - > I'll leave a link in the description below.

288 - > The second way that I'm doing this is I'm implementing... 289 - > I'm really curious and interested in something that, 290 - > Kelly Roach has been talking about a lot, and she created 291 - > called The Miracle Hour, which is, in essence, it's a follow-up 292 - > sales system, which is so valuable. 293 - > Like, for me, there's something really different between chasing 294 - > people and also doing due diligence and showing them that 295 - > you care, that you're paying attention to them, that they're 296 - > valuable, that they are somebody who's not just a number in your 297 - > system.

298 - > They're actually a person who you could be a great help with. 299 - > What I'm doing is taking the Miracle Hour and implementing my 300 - > own sort of twist to it, my own processes. 301 - > I'm using AI to help me make sure I'm on top of everyone that 302 - > needs to be followed up with. 303 - > And then I'm not only implementing this in my own 304 - > business, but bringing it to my clients as well.

305 - > So first engine is long-form content once a week. 306 - > The second engine is my version of Kelly Roach's Miracle Hour. 307 - > And the third thing, so I haven't gotten there yet, but 308 - > this is kind of a cool thing that I am really thinking about 309 - > and experimenting with, which is using the human connection video 310 - > as a trust-building entry point into my world. 311 - > Meaning I can build trust with you over my content, but what if 312 - > you got to experience what it's like for me to teach and for me 313 - > to show you things and for you to really be immersed in my 314 - > world without having to commit yet to the bigger program 315 - > Presold clients?

316 - > What I'm experimenting with is this idea that I can break off 317 - > the human connection video and create it as a, two-hour 318 - > workshop whereby I am showing you how everything works, and 319 - > then I'm showing you how to create your own human connection 320 - > video in obviously like a very, a much smaller scale than we 321 - > were doing it inside the program over three months. 322 - > But you would have all the tools that you need. 323 - > You would have the whole roadmap, and I would likely have 324 - > as an upsell the AI bots that can help you write your script 325 - > and write your shot list and ultimately bring this home.

326 - > This would be an awesome way for people to come into my world and 327 - > see what it's like to be taught by me, see how I, interact and 328 - > how I teach and how, what my philosophy is, and just really 329 - > get an immersion inside of my world as a buyer, where you 330 - > literally have everything you need. 331 - > Like, I'm blowing it out of the water for the price point, and 332 - > it would be a way to come into my world that's an absolute 333 - > no-brainer, that is, really affordable and really would 334 - > knock your socks off.
