Episode notes

This is the audio version of “CEO Loneliness, Peer Advisory Groups, and Better Business Decisions.” In this episode, our host, Sara Vaziri , speaks with Ric Franzi , Business Partner at REF Global, about one of the most overlooked challenges of business ownership: the isolation that comes with leadership. Ric explains why many business owners, founders, and CEOs eventually reach a point where the decisions become more complex, yet truly objective advice becomes harder to find. While accountants, attorneys, consultants, and employees all play important roles, they often cannot provide the same unbiased perspective as a confidential group of experienced business owners. The conversation explores how peer advisory groups create a trusted environment where non-competing business owners can openly discuss leadership challenges, business growth, acquisitions, family business issues, strategic decisions, and long-term planning. Ric also shares how these groups function much like an outside board of advisors, helping business owners work on their business rather than remaining trapped in the day-to-day operations.
