These intelligent agents fuse demand forecasting with replenishment logic: they predict future sales, generate or adjust purchase orders (POs), and even shuffle stock between locations. Crucially, they respect real-world constraints like supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and transportation schedules. To work effectively, they plug into core systems – pulling real-time data from ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management) systems and communicating with suppliers’ portals and logistics platforms.
