The Perils of Overdoing Responsibility, Help & Care During Times of Change

Episode notes
Do you sometimes shoulder the burden of everyone else's problems, take charge and responsibility to resolve them? Do you care, passionately about other people, especially during periods of change and adjustment? Or maybe you help others at the drop of a hat. These are all great qualities. Have you heard the phrase, 'Any strength overdone can become a weakness'? We can be our own worst enemy sometimes by overdoing these strengths, which ultimately damage our performance, effectiveness and resilience. This was me a few weeks ago, whilst dealing with some difficult news. I share 8 lessons from a sh*t storm, which I unintentionally created and how we can bring these strengths back into to balance and ensure we look after ourselves, as well as the rest of the world / workforce / family. I recorded this podcast as a tribute to my Dad on a significant day. A day on which everything could change direction in a second.
