A key theme throughout the episode is the shift from standalone banking products to integrated, everyday services. In a market where customers often use multiple banking apps, the Freedom team recognised the need to create a platform that delivers daily value, encouraging higher engagement and retention. Today, the app offers dozens of services across three core layers: everyday banking, lifestyle services, and value-added features such as loyalty programmes and rewards.
