Episode notes
The FinTech Australia Business Spotlight Podcast focuses on the challenges, opportunities, and stories within the Australian FinTech industry. This podcast was with Marshall Pribadi , founder and CEO, and Rob Hotchin, Australia Country Manager, who represent Privy, a digital identity provider with over 45 million users and 3,000 corporate clients. Privy was inspired by Marshall's personal experience with inefficient identity verification processes and aims to eliminate repetitive identity verification for users and institutions. Privy started in 2016, consulting with the Indonesian Ministry of ICT and becoming a certified authority to issue digital identities and legally binding digital signatures. The company has significantly grown, shaping the digital economy, especially during the pandemic, by enabling online credit card applications and bank account openings without physical interactions. Privy has attracted major investors like KKR and Okta, benefiting from their global networks, expertise in scaling businesses, and co-marketing opportunities.
