Episode notes
He is a church planter. So, he packed his wife and kids in the minivan and moved to New England to plant a church in 1994 and he never left. In fact, God used Dr. Terry Dorsett and his family to plant multiple churches in Vermont. They went on to lead the Green Mountain Baptist association. They relocated again to plant churches in Connecticut, and eventually, they followed a call in 2015 to move again, this time, to lead the Baptist Convention in New England (the BCNE) - which is the state convention encompassing all six New England states. They called a church planter to lead the convention. And in 11 years now, Dr. Dorsett has a number of notable accomplishments, one in fact, involved changing the name of the convention to the Baptist Churches of New England. But, that is not all that's changed. Under Dr. Dorsett's tenure, Southern Baptists in New England have seen amazing results in church planting, and baptisms, and giving, and growth. All for God's glory. All because a church planter who said at the time that he was not qualified, but called. And, he trusted God to help him figure it out.
