From Classroom to Cyber Frontlines: Yvette Bayo's Call for Unity and Diversity!

This week I talk with Ivette Bayo, who I met at Raices CyberCon late last year. Much of our discussion is super high level but dip into great examples to make sure it resonates with the audience. We had a very organic and cerebral conversations, and I loved every minute of it.We talk about how to get more diverse voices into cyber, but she frames it in a unique way that, I’d argue, the majority don’t think this way. Again, think macro vs micro perspective. We are living in a rough cybersecurity job market, but she remains hopeful, and it boils down to taking care of yourself and loving one another. Simple but powerful advice that we all need we all need to listen to. The conversation concludes with a focus on supporting cybersecurity education and training and the key takeaways from the discussion.
